Free Agent P/U and dropped within a time range
If a manager picks up a player then (before any game is played) drops him, player should still be a free agent. That's what I though happens, isn't it? To prevent someone flipping the entire list of active players back to waivers. Yahoo Prize H2H-Pts 1123034, Njoku was p/u as FA and hour and half later, dropped for another. Njoku should have been FA still. What if I needed a different TE at last minute (and had been thinking of him but went with Waller) I don't think the manager intended that maneuver, but rule needs to be in place to prevent it:

Thank you for reaching out regarding adding/dropping players. If a player is added as a free agent and dropped the same day, the player will be a free agent and they will not go on waivers. If they are dropped the next day or later, they will go on waivers.
