Fix Trade Processing
If a trade is normally scheduled to be processed after some or all players have played their game, making them “uneditable” go back to the previous procedure of processing the trade X number of days later once that week has been completed. Your current and flawed procedure of just emailing managers telling them that the trade could not be processed is ridiculous, unnecessarily cumbersome, and potentially league altering. So instead of my trade being pushed back a day to be processed it’s just been cancelled by Yahoo. Now I’m trying to get the commissioner to move the players on his own but he feels compelled to say yahoo denies the trade and that it should not be allowed because of that and the other team is entertaining more offers for the player I had acquired. This is a simple issue to fix that is opening a loophole to ***** leagues and managers.
During the trade review period, you can’t make a roster move that would subsequently put your team over the roster limit, when the trade would process, or affect the players associated with the trade. This will also occur in uneven trades when the player scheduled to be dropped:
- Is dropped during a waiver claim, prior to the trade transaction.
- Is traded to another team, prior to the trade transaction.
- Is dropped outright, prior to the trade transaction.
If the player scheduled to be dropped in the original transaction is affected in any way, the trade will become void and the pending status will disappear.
It’s both managers’ responsibility to ensure they have enough roster space and that the players associated with the trade are not altered, after a trade has been accepted.
