Notify user BEFORE charging credit card upon free trial expiration
Wouldn't it be great if a free trial didn't quietly turn into a $40/month charge without any notification whatsoever? I will let the below interchange speak for itself. A simple email notification "feature" would fix this. Pretty sure I won't be recommending Yahoo products to those around me anytime soon.

Hey ****, how can I assist you today?8:45:11 PM

I pay my credit card statements on the 15th of each month. I discovered this evening that until 5 minutes ago, I was actively subscribed to a pay (not free trial) version of Yahoo Finance Premium.8:46:04 PM
The subscription is pending cancellation. I still have a 38.10 charge on my credit card. I would like to resolve this.8:46:34 PM
Ryan
Okay, unfortunately our system shows that your free trial ended on 11/27/19 therefore you were charged for the Yahoo Finance Premium subscription.8:47:33 PM

Yes, I see that I was indeed charged 38.10 on 11/29/2019 during Thanksgiving weekend and erroneously paid this charge on my statement last month. I was not notified by Yahoo that my subscription began charging.8:48:51 PM
Ryan
I understand, our system shows that you were charged and paid twice on 11/28 and 12/28. Since your canceled your subscription before your next renewal date, you will not be charged for the month of January.8:51:34 PM

My issue is that I paid at all in the first place. Of course, I understand this is through no fault of yours personally, but I would like to escalate feedback to whoever manages this product that it makes me unlikely to recommend this service to peers, classmates, or future employers when I am quietly charged without notice for a service I have not touched since the day I logged in for a free trial for 15 minutes.8:54:02 PM

I understand your frustration and truly apologize for the inconvenience. Unfortunately, once a free trial ends the user is billed. I have attached a link to our Yahoo Finance feedback forum below. There, you would be able to submit any comments or suggestions you may have for Yahoo Finance. https://yahoo.uservoice.com/forums/3829778:55:13 PM

That is disappointing, Ryan.8:55:41 PM

I apologize that there is not more I can do to further assist you with this issue.8:56:04 PM

If you do, as a customer support representative, empathize with the customer in this situation, I would ask that you please let your team lead know it is a poorly conceived business model that relies on stealthy invoicing to wring future revenue out of graduate students who might otherwise continue using Yahoo Finance Premium into their professional careers.8:57:51 PM
Not a lot of long term sense in that strategy.8:58:11 PM

Okay, again I apologize for the inconvenience. I would recommend submitting into our feedback forum from the link I provided above.
