What do you want from me?
How can I edit my Yahoo stock portfolio? I want to add the number of shares for each stock, but I am unable to do so. The title "SHARES" does appear at the top of my portfolio, but I am unable to enter any figures into my portfolio in that column.

I HATE this version of yahoo finance. I was able to change back to classic view but not I don't see an option for that any more. WHY can't I get the old version????

New format is NOT user friendly. Poorly designed to have a quick view of what the stock market a and stocks are doing. I am sure Yahoo has had an extreme amount of negative feed back on this new format. Please make the option to revert to the "original" finance screen MORE easily available rather than hiding it at the very bottom on the page which is kinda cheezy. Screen shot show the USER FRIENDLY page

How do I edit the number of shares in my stock portfolio stocks 2023?

The new Portfolio 2.0 is not very good; indeed, it is deficient in comparison to the old one. Unless I am missing something, the function in the old Portfolio allowed one to edit each holding (# of shares, cash amount updates) with a simple click of a button. Now, I cannot edit the holding when necessary (e.g. decreasing or increasing number of shares for a holding based on sales of securities or purchase of new lots or, in the cash holding entry line, adding or subtracting or cash amounts based on sales, purchases, or receipt of dividends). Why would you get rid of one of the most important functions for having a portfolio - keeping it up to date to account for changes in one's portfolio. I will have to find a different way of tracking my money if this is not corrected or if I am not informed about what it is I am missing on the editing of my portfolio. Thank you for your help and I look forward to hearing from yoiu.

I have used Yahoo finance for 25 years. This new .2 is not very useful. I've been looking to find another site that has what you originally had. It is very frustrating. I keep trying "new view" to try to get what I want to see in my portfolio to no avail. I am very disappointed.

I click on some stocks and get the dreaded spinning blue wheel. Can't get rid of it. What do I do now?

Please provide a simple way of adding shares. I don't want to enter any transaction or dividends or anything else. I just need an ability to enter shares.

Agree and echo all these comments. We ALL just want a simple way to track and edit our portfolios. Pls roll this back to the previous version. I've tried to roll back given the prompts on the screen but some of the previous functionality, like the ability to SIMPLY edit number of shares is gone. Fix this Yahoo!!!!

The inability to edit is disastrous!!! Please, please, please fix this or allow return to the previous version.
Is there a manual somewhere?

How do I edit my holdings

I agree, The "My Holdings" feature was CRITICAL. For example.....take the FUTBX fund, I have shares if FUTBX via 4 different accounts and even 2-3 different investment companies. I can't find a way to open that up to show the four different holdings and to make changes to my holdings when one of my investment companies sells or buys more shares of it on my behalf. WHAT HAVE YOU DONE YAHOO??????

You actually can still edit the number of shares. You have to add a transaction, then find three little dots, click on that and pick edit transaction. That will replace the previous transactions. It's much more tedious but at least you can rescue your portfolios if you're willing to spend a lot more time.
