false security ads
Ads that present a false sense of a security threat SHOULD NOT be presented on the email platform. Ads are fine for a free product, but showing ads that state that a virus is detected, should not be present in the platform. (Presented by good ole McAfee!).... Stop encouraging people to worry about their computers when there's no threat!

Let me control what's spam or not!
I feel like I have no control over my email anymore, and it's getting to the point where I'm considering closing the account altogether.
Lately, all my newsletters from CTV News have been bumped into the spam folder. I add them as contacts again and again, open the email (as instructed under how to get around spam messages) and hit the NOT Spam tab. Still, for weeks now, all these notifications from CTV News are considered spam. I am obviously not able to control what's spam or not anymore. I am paying for my account so this is very backwards… -
Vulgar Ads
The ads on the sidebar are distracting and some are gross. Why is there a half naked guy showering while I try to write an email?!?! The ad space is huge and it completely ruins the functionality while making it feel like a spam site. Change it or I'm leaving after 15+ years.

Show SENDER EMAIL address in SPAM folder (not SENDER NAME)
PROBLEM:
The SENDER NAME is the most obvious way a spammer tries to fool users - including using a "correct email address" in the sender field.
The FIRST thing I do to identify spam is to check the ACTUAL sender email. Either by hovering or hitting reply.
SOLUTION:
Show the ORIGINATING EMAIL address, NOT the SENDER NAME for mails in the SPAM box. This makes it MUCH harder for spammers to mislead users.

improve your spam filter.
Lately the yahoo spam filter has been almost non-existent. I have flagged the same emails as spam for the last two weeks and the very next day I will get two or three more. Almost all of my my spam was filtered and now hardly any of it is. Your spam filter does not work.

My spam folder does not tell how many messages are in spam
All my other folders (inbox, trash, drafts,etc) show how many emails are in each folder, but my spam folder does NOT show the amount of emails in spam. How do I change/fix this?

We should be able to opt out of certain ads on our email home page. I do not want certain ads popping up on my home page. I know that we have to have those annoying ads on our screen, but we should be able to opt out of ones we find offensive for some.

Mail default settings
I highly recommend a set of options to change the default setting of mail loading from "Priority" with options of loading whichever set people want, in my case I want it to default to "All".

Retain settings
I liked my blue background and the way I had it set up. Now it keeps going back to white every time I open it. What a pain. I want to be able to save my settings.

I would like to suggest labels for emails so they can be categorized without burying it in a folder and having to take time locating it. The ability to assign multiple labels for emails would increase productivity tremendously.

Can't sign in
I have not been able to sign in to the Yahoo Mail for Android app since December 26th!!!! I've talked to your customer care people twice and get a run around and get told I'm supposed to pay a premium price for full customer service assistance like what company has the audacity to charge your customers for support help for their app???!!!! email not working properly
I've been trying to use my account, reset passwords, and login for past two days, and now I have to pay for help. What happened Yahoo? I can't make any changes in my settings as the tabs are no longer there.

Spam constantly
Constantly receiving spam in such volumes I cannot keep them blocked. Have had my eml here since 2008 but am going to have to go with another firm if you cannot stop the spam. Hundreds a day.

I'm close to ditching yahoo entirely because of the ads I see when I read mail
The theme I see in the ads you're showing me is that I can solve my nonexistent ED problems by clicking on ads showing sultry women. I'm very very very very very tired of these ads and the pics of beefcake guys tempting with offers to bulk up. I'm very close to ditching yahoo entirely because of this. Make it stop.
