Please indicate if there are emails in spam! I almost missed paying a bill on time because it was in spam and I did not notice it!

Please indicate somehow that there are mails in the spam folder! Missed important emails because of that too! I've seen people complain about that on Twitter and the community forum too: https://forums.yahoo.net/t5/Features-and-settings/Number-of-emails-in-spam-and-trash/td-p/284262

This is especially problematic since valid emails that were never flagged as spam before are now being flagged as spam. Including a valid security notification from Evernote.

Put a count on the spam folder (unread emails.)

This complaint is almost 7 months old. Fix it already!
It's bad enough so many valid e-mails are sent to the Spam folder, you don't indicate that there are any in the folder so we have to open it just to check.

the spam & delete email menu options are close together, It's very possible I previously clicked on spam instead of delete but nearly 50 daily emails had been filed under spam & not found till i went looking for them today - because yahoo has determined we don't need to be informed about our new uninspected spam emails.

I agree with this comment. I just went searching for emails I was expecting from people whose email address I didn't yet have & they were sitting in spam but not showing till opened. Plus about 60 other spam over the last 2 months that didn't show either. It's not good enough from such a large provider.!!

Good grief. The sheer number of mails that go there inapropriately is staggering. I understand that there are flags that send certain things to spam, but some of what goes there are mails I receive DAILY, and open, and read EVERY DAY. How does your system consider those spam?

It's taken me a month to locate emails after the latest update. Found them in sent folder, spam or unread. Every place but the Inbox. Just noticed many went to an old folder called Accidents that I haven't used in years.

need to see number of emails in spam and trash without hovering! Emails go to spam that should not and I end up missing emails! It is a feature that was part of old system that worked fine. Stop fixing what was not broken pls. Bring back the number of emails in spam and trash without hovering pls!

Having the spam folder without showing a count or any new activity on the left side is almost pointless. Worse still is going to check the folder and finding multiple messages from the same spammer...then not having any way to flag, ban, filter, or move them all except to delete. But that will be another feedback item.

Icon on Yahoo homepage shows notification of new mail when inbox is clear of new items. When I clear the SPAM folder the notification goes away. Stop notifying me of new SPAM mail. SPAM goes to the SPAM folder for a reason, because I don't want anything to do with it.
STOP NOTIFYING ME OF SPAM. -

Agree! The most annoying part of this is when an email that isn't spam is moved to this folder. Need the visual confirmation that there are unread emails in there. Also, I like to keep this folder clean by reviewing and then deleting the messages often. Like many users, I get so many spam emails that, if I just let them collect in folder, there can be hundreds of them in just a week.

Let me know when spam is in the Spam folder so I can empty it.

How about posting the number of spam to be viewed/deleted???

As before, still failing to notify new mail in the Spam folder, which means I could risk losing 'good' mail that goes there by mistake.

Please restore the count of Unread messages in the Spam folder so I don't miss a critical one again!

Exactly the same for me. Emails I have previously been receiving have been redirected to Spam. They were from email listings but have checked with the 2 I know about (one is my bank!) and they have definitely sent emails and tell me it is my email program. This is when I checked Spam and found a magnanimous amount of emails with the MINORITY being actual spam. I have managed to 'save' most of my bank's email alerts but cannot resurrect one - so how do I do that?
