How can we improve New Mail?

    Yes, please put the number back!!! Very often, messages land in spam when they shouldn't. It would be helpful to know when there are new messages in there instead of having to guess.

    Spam folder tab no longer shows how many spams are in the folder. I check the spam folder daily to see if something useful slipped in by mistake and empty daily to keep things in check.

    Spam does not show number of new messages as did before on the earlier version. Have to check to see if there are any.

    This is not about convenience. It is about having a reminder to check your Spam folder for any potentially wanted emails in there. Sometimes important emails are in the Spam folder - it happens rarely, but it happens. If I don't see (without hovering with the mouse) that there are emails in the Spam folder, I don't remember to check it, so I might miss important emails. So do many other users. We simply need a reminder to check our Spam folder, and the number of emails in there is the perfect reminder. I don't remember to hover my mouse over the folder otherwise. Hope you can understand the huge importance of this seemingly small UI tweak. Thanks.

    Their used to be a count next to the spam folder. I got into the habit of checking it for email that didn't belong in there and emptying it. The number seems to be missing and I'd lost the habit. When the box fills with hundreds of emails, it's a much more laborious task to comb through and find emails that don't belong in there! Thanks.

    I seem to have the opposite problem to everyone else - I have been waiting for some emails and a week later - have found about 40 unread emails in my Spam folder that are definitely NOT spam. No notification that there was anything even in that folder. I can only imagine how many emails I have missed over the last month or so.

    who thinks about spam ? It should apear so I would remember to check, Because many non spam email goes there and we have to retrive them.

    It is very inconvenient not to be shown that new mail has shown up it the spam folder. In previous version, it was highlighted. Now I have to look to see if something has gone in there by mistake. Please change this back!

    Counter giving number of spam emails is no longer present. Also when an email is marked as not spam, further emails from same sender still end up in spam file. The spam filter is not as good as the old system

    You used to bold and show how many items are in the SPAM folder. Now it does not stand out in any way so I do not think to delete the items that have been collecting in this folder.

    In the folder list, put back number of message for spam folder (without having to hover).

    I see that you can hover the cursor over the folder title to see how many e-mails is in the folder but it needs to be immediately visible.

    The spam folder use to indicate the number of emails in it, now it does not. This was helpful as a reminder to me to check the spam folder because I would occasionally see emails that should have went to my inbox. Then, I would empty it.

    I inspect my spam folder when items appear in it. I should not have to move my cursor to hover over the spam folder to see items exist in it, but the number should be there at a glance when I refresh my mail screen.

    These people might not know that if you hover the cursor over the folder name, you get a popup that tells how many messages (or how many unread messages) in that folder. However, I'm not looking over their shoulder, so that function might not be working on their system.

    Would be useful to be able to see when you receive spam as some non-spam messages go into this folder

    I too would like a counter to tell me how many Spam emails I have please.

    I haven't checked my spam folder because it doesn't show that there are unread messages. This is not good because occasionaly client emails end up in spam. Please put back showing how many messages the spam folder has
