How can we improve New Mail?

    Spam and Deleted folders need to indicate that unread emails are in the folders. Please indicate if there are unread emails in spam AND in deleted folder. Not only was an important email in my spam box when I was lucky enough to look before you emptied it, IT HAD IGNORED A VALID FILTER for that email! I *PAY* for Mail Pro (and the price more than doubled in the last year and functionality has plummeted.) The Spam and Deleted folders no longer indicate if there is unread email within, AND they are emptied by Yahoo too quickly. I have no idea if any other important emails from MY FAMILY MEMBERS that also have correct filter information have gone to the spam folder.
    Are you TRYING to get rid of us???

    Agree -just found a heap of emails in there that were varying degrees of importance, because they were from senders I regular receive from. How about you stop the *** solicitation emails and Canadian Pharmacy before they even hit anywhere near an inbox, and otherwise let me decide what is spam. At the very least, as others have said, some indication that there are items in the spam folder.

    Couldn't agree more with these statements. Just found a bunch of emails that never should have gone to spam. Some were messages from friends that I had just answered from an email that was in my inbox. Put back the indicator when we have spam! Get a better system to pick up spam from real mail.

    How about showing the number of messages in UnRead, Starred and Spam as you do with Inbox, Sent, and Drafts, etc. Thank you

    You put mail in the spam folder from contacts in my list that I've gotten mail from many times before. At the very least if you can't keep that straight, LET ME KNOW WHEN YOU DO PUT SOMETHING IN THE SPAM FOLDER. Shouldn't have to regularly go there and check for emails that should be in the in box.

    This is a stupid idea that there is no indication of unread messages in the Spam or Deleted Items folders. Yahoo keeps flagging some of my important emails as Spam, when they are not and I missed a very important email which was in the Spam folder, with no indication that there was any unread messages in the Spam folder. Now I have to look in the Spam folder every time I check my emails.

    Yahoo seems to be determined to make this new version of Yahoo Mail harder to use than the previous version and anything but user-friendly.

    I don't know whose stupid idea this new version was, but they need re-educating. The worst thing is that they don't listen to feedback. Almost everyone hates this new version and wants the previous version back.

    I check my spam when the spam folder says you have spam in the folder. I don't check regularly because "in the past it wud tell me I have some". On a whim I checked and I had a zillion spam messages. Please make it so I can see if I have it without actually going into the folder to check.
    This is not an idea. It is a complaint!!

    I"m on Pro and there is not a thing I like about this new format. I don't want to go back to basic as I don't like pagination (the sort doesn't work and always reverts back to page 1 when deleting). I loved the old Pro format - so easy to use. This new one does not even have counters for the spam or trash folders!

    unread message numbers should show in ANY folders by default. If people like, this is something to consider letting people disable. However, mousing over folders shouldn't be something I need to do. Also - no mouse is available in mobile app and far too many emails are diverted to SPAM for emails I've signed up for

    There needs to be shown a total of mails in spam and trash folders. Not just in the inbox

    The spam counter is missing in the new layout, while it was present in the old one.
    This URGENTLY NEEDS to be fixed.
    It is stupid to remove valuable information indicators.

    The Spam folder never shows a count, so I never know if anything new is in there unless I open it.

    Yahoo removed the indication on the Spam folder when email has arrived. Please bring this feature back. Some of the emails going to my spam are not spam. Without the indication on the right side of my spam folder, I have no idea I have spam mail without specifically checking for it.

    you used to mention the n° of mails in the spam and trash folder ; why don't you do this anymore ? especially for the spam folder that was convenient, because it reminded me to check from time to time if there was no "regular" mail in there

    I get daily emails from Life Lock, Secure Your Home, Home Warranty, etc., as well as spam for rewards from companies I don't even do business with. I dutifully mark them as spam, but that doesn't "train" your AI to recognize them. Meanwhile, I find messaged from people in my contact list diverted to the spam folder. Sometimes it happens in the middle of a conversation. The filter is next to worthless if I have to check the spam folder daily to find the errors.

    This needs fixing ASAP. It's not hard to put a count on a folder. You have it for other folders and used to have it for SPAM. There was no reason to remove it.

    Please indicate whether there are emails in SPAM folder. Some of them are valuable emails and I lost them.

    This issue still needs to be fixed - legit mails from a (former) Yahoo group - always end up in spam and I need to know when they've arrived.
    Even better - improve your spam filters to recognise these legit messages. It can't be that difficult.
