How can we improve New Mail?

full page contact list

I hate the contact list now being shown on the right side and much prefer the previous full page contact list. Please bring back the full page list or at provide an option to select this version. Also, some of my contacts seem to have "mysteriously" disappeared.

    Put the contacts back on a full page screen and stop changing it back to the right side. I can't choose lists and my contacts all of a sudden disappear. Why do you have to fix something that was not broken in the first place. This is getting very frustrating.

    This new format is hard to see, hard to work with, and I can't figure out how to edit it.
    REALLY dislike it and would appreciate it if you would give me and my old eyes the option of seeing the full page again. Oh no... after reading the comments below, I just realized I can't see any of my notes and I use them constantly. Yahoo, I get the sense you're changing things in pursuit of job continuation. Does anyone up there give a hoot about what we want?

    The Contact list is a complete failure. Please return it to the former format which was easily edited and searched. The new format is anything but user friendly.

    My contact group lists are not in alphabetical order anymore and I have to scroll down and skim to find the list that I want because it's all jumbled up!! Why isn't the group email list in alphabetical order??!!
    I can't easily add a contact and then easily add that contact to a list anymore like the full page set up used to with the full page layout.
    It worries me that I might have lost contacts and details and information for many contacts!! This can be a costly thing for me!! I trust Yahoo mail for my business.
    I don't like the new format for contacts, not at all. It's concerning.

    I agree with previous comments. I can't navigate my contact list at all, and I don't have access to my notes. The full-page list of contacts worked fine, so why the change? It's not an enhancement, it's a hassle.

    OMG so many of my contacts are missing or the phone numbers are. Who came up with this hair brained idea. WHY did this have to change - fix other problems 1st like switching between accounts easier than signing in and out

    I do not like the new contact feature!
    I add new contact and it shows to be there. When I attempt to add them to a group they are not listed. Its so frustrating!!!
    I would like to be able to sort my group list by alpha order.
    so many things need to be corrected!!!

    I do NOT like this new contact feature. I have many lists and switch people around depending on the committees they choose, and now I can't assign new people to lists? Can't export "just" a list, but have to export all contacts? NOT helpful and has really put a HUGE dent in my productivity.

    I completely agree with the original poster. I am an avid user of the contacts feature and it is almost impossible to use the contacts feature now. As a shortcut, I was using this link to get around this implosion of the contacts feature: https://mail.yahoo.com/neo/launch?action=contacts

    But now it doesn't work and if I can locate a contact, when I click on it, I see another yahoo mail page and NO details on the contact.

    This new contact feature is completely broken.

    If you look at the calendar icon and click on it, a new page opens to display the calendar. The contact icon should do the same thing.

    This new contact redo is horrible!!!!

    Horrible new contact format. I'm ready to quit all emailing or using Yahoo. I do contact work all the time. Horrible horrible new format! Yes, I am repeating myself!!!!

    OMG! what a HORRIBLE 'enhancement'! Do you not have any people on staff with usability skills? This new contacts version is totally user unfriendly. Not only that, it is broken - does not show all contact fields, and the integration with distribution lists is totally f**ked up. I use lists a lot and this new version is impossible with work with! If you can't fix, then at least give users the ability to revert back to the full screen edit mode, while you work on a fix!

    I agree with all these comments. The new contacts are frustratingly difficult to use. One person with multiple entries: one for email, one for street address, one for phone, one for second phone, one for second email......etc. You get the point. The old email was much more logical and user friendly. Easy to manage contacts, make changes, sort into groups and see all emails to a particular person. Bring back the old email contacts list and stop making changes just because you can. These are not improvements, they are aggravations. If you have been gathering feedback since July 19,2019, you have enough to realize that the new contacts arrangement is NOT working. Bring back the old contacts list.

    I also hate this new contact list. Duplicates, triplets, quads all for the same person. I tried to clean up this horrible contact list and as soon as I deleted one of the four for the same person all four all of them then disappeared! How do I get the one back

    Gone to Gmail, this new contact version is absolute garbage. At least I can ind my way around Gmail.

    I HATE the new contact list. Can not even figure out how to edit and add contacts and I can't see the information as easily. Please bring back the old style.

    Seems this latest update to contacts has broken. First it is hard to use as compared to the previous layout. Worse, it doesn't show all of your contacts! Seems that if you have more than a certain number of contacts with the same first name, it is limited. Thankfully, the contacts are still present on my phone.

    Please fix! A contacts list that doesn't show all of your contacts is pretty useless. Does anybody test this code before it is released?

    I can no longer manage my contact list and I need to work on it today! Please change it back!
