How can we improve New Mail?

Contacts hard to find, edit, alter, and delete

Since the new changes it has become much more difficult to search and edit or delete a single contact. It would be very helpful if a dropdown menu were available to search by several choices such as ending email address or last name or company. partial name, with the ability to select the item and go to edit.

    a) We can add contacts from an email! WOW, this basic function only took 4 months to add into the "new & improved" version of Yahoo email.
    b) Meanwhile adding those new contacts - - or ANY contacts - - to a list is now non-functional. Seriously???

    But, Yahoo charged this morning me $30-some for another year of their awesome ad-free email. I'm glad they are getting their money for this horrible email service. I give Yahoo 2 more years maximum.

    The "Contacts" format is a failure! 1) I keep having MY email address inserted automatically for a recipient and nothing I do changes it. 2) I cannot copy any of my email addresses when I need to use them. I simply cannot highlight and copy! Why not????

    The add contact function only displays contact name Nickname and the Save button when adding a new contact. In order to then add the email address it involves a convoluted process of editing existing contact. I also dont like the way it links contacts and I cant work out the criteria for linking them or more importantly breaking the link. It seems to be when the same email has been forwarded on to the contacts. After that the contacts are lnnked and cant seem to stop them being displayed as related contacts.. That is a separate issue to the problem of adding a new contact to the address book

    It worked perfectly before, with the ability to open Contacts full-screen in a new tab. Now, we have just a narrow sliver on the right side of the screen. I heavily utilize notes under each contact, often with a couple of paragraphs. Now, I can only view notes as one continuous line. Impossible to work with! Even the space for composing emails has been minimized. Why not utilize as much screen space as possible?

    Resolve defects in current Yahoo version re creating contacts, creating contact lists, establishing a contact in a nominated list, transferring contacts between lists. Every upgrade in Yahoo version over the past couple of years has made the entire contact facility and associated processes more complex and less user friendly. You have been aware of the issue for some time. Why hasn't this been rectified?

    Editing or adding a contact is now impossible. How crazy is that?

    Making a list, it will not show any contacts that start with the letter "k", why?

    Should be able to mass delete contacts in mail. If there would be an option it be so much easier and save so much time than deleting one by one. I have 1500 contacts and can't delete majority of it. I would have to sit there and delete every single one of them and it would take to much time and effort........

    Contacts are so bad. I'm trying to get back to Classic Email.
    1. Separate First and Last name for sorting
    2. Allow you to select a Group List from either entering a new contact or editing a contact. I still haven't been able to enter a new contact into my group list.
    3. Provide a full screen to look at all contacts and edit the contact selected.

    please bring back the old format for the contacts on yahoo mail.
    new version is not user friendly and very hard to work with.

    I am only able to see a very small portion of my contacts. In Basic Mail I can see all of my contacts but w/o my notes, therefore making it USELESS. We all need to be able to see all of our contacts w/ all of their notes. This problem has been going on for about a week now and I can't function with an incomplete listing of my contacts and the vital information my contacts list contains. Please stop breaking Yahoo Mail. It just creates more problems and in the meantime please restore ALL of my contacts to Yahoo Mail. thank you

    When sending emails, not all contacts show on the contact list. If I click on contacts, the name is there but not on the email selection list.list

    Clicking "To", "CC", or "BC" takes you to the "Search for search for a contact" window.
    That those contacts are in alphabetical order.
    However, the "All contacts" list is not in alphabetical order.
    Not being in order is a major hardship for users.

    Your change of contacts to right side of page reorganized, switched first and last name positions and discombobulated my list. Neither can i find where and how to alter, edit, change, add or delete contacts. Your new system is ****.

    Trying to add a contact to an existing contact list is impossible.
    Does ANYONE at Yahoo beta test this stuff??
    I'm sure it's quite intuitive to the genies sitting at their desks conjuring up all these changes but to the average mail user it remains a joke.

    I need a way to categorize my email contacts, e.g. family, friends, services, etc.
