Contacts hard to find, edit, alter, and delete
Since the new changes it has become much more difficult to search and edit or delete a single contact. It would be very helpful if a dropdown menu were available to search by several choices such as ending email address or last name or company. partial name, with the ability to select the item and go to edit.

The majority of my contacts have disappeared! When they were still there... I couldn't select contacts from specialized lists: SOVdC, etc. I had to go to main contacts and go through the entire list to select people to send emails to that I used to just go to the special lists. This is driving me crazy. Also, everytime I refresh the inbox a box pops up, so I have to go through two steps just to refresh. And when I select an email to open, the want to switch box pops up and I have to say stay in old email; then I have to go back a re-select the email to open it. Pain **********!!!

I'm so glad to hear that I'm not the only one that truly, TRULY, truly dislikes the Contacts set up. It's not a useless tool This happened ages ago, but I just noticed this feedback button...I can't access my contacts as a separate document. It's horrible. Why would you do this....so I switched over to my Gmail account for my contacts. Although I continue to use my Yahoo email (for now) ALL of my Contact updates for months have been in my gmail account . Why not allow us to "pop out" the Contacts as you did the Calendar....if this is the way to slowly ween us from using Yahoo, it's working....BTW, I'm not one who usually writes feedback - so you know it's bad!

What ever happened to "fix duplicates" feature? I now have one contact that has duplicated itself in my list 467 times!! I was told by so-called customer support that I MUST DELETE EACH ONE SEPARATELY?!?!?! Sure, if I had nothing else to do for the next few weeks! Supposedly this is to prevent deleting contacts in error? Like we are morons?!? And if we made such an error, shame on us. And REALLY don't like the whole "take it or leave it" attitude. Just might leave it. Or maybe Yahoo could float the idea of a "delete" button next to the contact info on the list?????

They don't make it easy to contact them directly but you can work through the screens and get to a place where you can email Yahoo support.
Here is where you can start. CONTACT THEM DIRECTLY ABOUT HORRIBLE CONTACTS. Maybe they will act.

Today I needed to access my contacts list...only to realize that I can't even find it. What kind of tech company does that? You're making life harder.

Contacts used to be easy to find, add and edit. Now it's almost Impossible.

I see lots of complaints about the inability to sort the contacts list to make it more user friendly, but what I do not see is any response from Yahoo as to how to accomplish this task. What's up Yahoo? Do you just take our Yahoo Pro money and ignore us?

It was bad enough, when the Yahoo's at Yahoo, whom, I guess, are trying to justify their jobs, changed our address book order, from last name, to first name. Now, to make it almost impossible, to find names, the order is by EMAIL ADDRESS. How stupid are you? It's now, almost impossible, to find anyone, unless you know, their email address.

Contacts list should have a button that can be pushed that will automatically put all
names in alphabetical order. Can't find out how to do this with the present format. -

It would also be helpful if we could have our contacts displayed alphabetically, by last name, and to also see ALL of our contacts listed when we select ALL. Surely we should have the option of alphabetizing our contacts either by first or last name. The contact setup is terrible!

I also hate the new format. I like my contacts to be listed by first name, not they way YOU want them. And spellcheck is another thing. What the **** is wrong with you geeks? Cant you find something more challenging to do than drive us crazy?

I can't even get to the contacts list any more let alone edit it. I have had this problem for quite awhile.
I've heard that Yahoo is going down hill. Apparently so if after 799 comments the problem is still only "under review." -

I just realised tht all my contacts and email addresses have dissapeared on my computer. Please could you explain to me whether I have been hacked and could you retrieve all my contacts back to me.
Thank you

On multiple occasions today, I have tried to Edit an existing Contact in my email system on Yahoo.com. I have received the error message "UNABLE TO LOAD at this time" Try again later. I also ran in to this problem as trying to Delete an old contact. I finally was able to perform an Edit and a Delete after 8 hours.

The contact address book seems to have become a useless tool - as we can no longer edit or add anything to it anymore. The SAVE option does not function at all

I had an extensive contact list built in Yahoo mail. Now they are gone. What happened??

I see many user complaints and requests from Yahoo to fix their miserable Contacts. They've been ignoring customers for years.
Get their attention on TWITTER. Embarrass them on TWITTER. Publicly tweet your complaints on Twitter to @yahoocare & @yahoo
Let the world know about their horrible support.
They won't be able to hide behind this blog. Their miserable performance will be out there for all to see.
