duplicate contacts

Please provide a way to identify and combine or remove duplicate contacts. I have thousands of contacts and cannot check for duplicates, which I know are many.

    I got a message that you combined my idea with another similar one which is fine except that you posted a link that supposed led to the solution and then closed the comments. THAT LINK IS BROKEN!!! Funny that you can combine duplicate ideas but not let us combine duplicate contacts.

    It's not acceptable that Yahoo! Support's answer to this question is that I need to do it manually. I've been a Yahoo! Mail user since the beginning and I don't understand how this fundamental feature is missing.
