Add an option to turn off AI summaries.
It might be useful for people with robust business-style accounts, but most of my messages are already short, or they're notifications. It makes the "summaries" redundant and obnoxious.

Please give users the option to turn off AI summaries. They are not effective or accurate and just get in the way of reading emails.

Nobody asked for this...nobody wants it. We don't want to wait for you to release the ability to turn this off...we want you to remove it. Oh, and fire your product manager.

Give me a way to turn off the AI summary of my mail. This is absolutely a mess and many times inappropriate or wrong. How do I turn this "feature" off?

New waste of time and effort to go through email. Delete Ai summaries. Waste of time. Restore access to spam folder and trash folder

This feature is completely useless. I don't want to read Yahoo's AI version of the email. I want to read the email sent to me BY THE SENDER. Having to scroll through your redundant summary is extremely annoying.

I agree. Very annoying and a waste of scarce space.

The AI summaries are irritating, redundant and misleading. Many are just plain inaccurate. Please turn them off!!!!!!

This one defect alone is enough for me to dump Yahoo altogether after almost 30 years!

Who wants AI all the time?

Please add the option for us to opt out of the AI summary feature. It is inaccurate and unnecessary, while also contributing to the waste of natural resources. I did not consent to Yahoo using my personal data to train AI.

Hi Nicole, thanks for the feedback. Yes, this has been a popular request from our Community. We have these Settings or the ability to turn off AI Summaries in our apps, but it's not quite ready for Desktop yet. We have shared this with our teams and they are looking into it. Thanks for your patience!

Please delete the AI summary of my email and give me back my subject line

This is a complete waste of time and energy. The AI summaries are redundant at best and inaccurate at worst. I do not want to contribute to the fever dream that AI should be everywhere; let me turn this off.

Please turn this off. If it is offered at all it should be opt in.

Why should we be getting this by default? I just do not want to rely on AI. I want to read the message as it was sent, but this summary just hinders my view. I use my eyes to get the gist of a message, don't need a machine to do that.

These AI summaries are creepy- I don't need AI to pre -read my emails for me- this needs to be an opt out for security and privacy. We dont need an "in your face" reminder every email that you guys are reading our emails.

Agree about "Any AI feature should have an opt in" which I suggest being either in the "Security and privacy" Settings menu, or its own "AI" Settings menu.

The summary is incorrect unless it's for the simplest message. It frequently tells me the opposite of what the email says or even contradicts itself. This is a waste of your resources and a liability for your users.

As with most things I'm finding with the new UI (like AI summaries), there is no way to turn it off.
I appreciate you folks trying to update the UI and make things simple and clean, but you have neglected the fact that some people relied on some of the old features in the old UI or may not want some of the new features in the new UI. Allowing the ability to turn a feature on or off should have been #1 on the list when creating the new UI.
I can't believe I'm paying for Yahoo Mail Plus and I have to basically beg to get features I used back into the UI, or to turn off new features that I don't want or I have no use for in a personal email account (i.e. AI summaries). It's really disappointing.
