See Number of Unread Emails
I have no overview of how many emails are in my Inbox. Very annoying. Please show that again.

Seeing the number of unread emails in my Inbox is absolutely critical. Why would you get rid of something that helps people monitor their mailbox?

I hate hate this new version!!! It doesn't show how many new in the inbox, the number left. An actual numeral

You can go back to classic version by going to the three dots look like this ... it's under folders locate settings scroll down until you locate switch to basic email and click on it takes you to the classic version. You can also sort by oldest to newest or newest to oldest in Inbox, Spam, Trash folders, etc. Hope this helps.

I can't see how many emails are in my inbox. Also, the old version allowed me to choose an email at the top. If I clicked delete, it would highlight the next email to allow me to choose what to do. Now I have to click each email and it is time consuming. I am going to leave yahoo mail if this stays like this.

Yes! It would be good to know the total number of emails in the Inbox. You can only figure out how many emails are there by selecting all of them and it will tell you how many you have

This critical! Gives me motivation to clean my inbox! Otherwise the messages just stay there after being read.

I just realized that I don't see any other place on the email page to see the counter of the number of unread emails. This means that it must be the tab that gives you this information. I guess I can live with that, but I hope I can get a way to check from the Inbox.

I want to see the total number of emails in inbox and the number that are unread.
How do you make a rule to send emails from a particular email address to a folder? I can't find that in this new version.
And I don't like that the trash folder is buried.
this was a terrible update. -

allow user to hover over email folder to see the number of emails in the folder - just like the old Yahoo.

I don't want to be reminded of how many emails I haven't read. I put them in trash because I don't want to read them, but they are not spam.

I hate NOT knowing how many emails I have. Why would you take that out???? Please display that feature again.

Can I be granted permission to go back to the former way it was arranged? I'm so confused by the new look! I need to work quickly in dealing with E-mails. If you want to TRULY improve things: Have a way to "permit" E-mails I do want to receive, and default is all others are automatically blocked. It's called "white listing" and PC Matic offers this feature. You enter in E-mail addresses of trusted people or businesses in your life, these are on the "white list". By reverse logic if it's not white listed it's "black listed" and doesn't get through. I'm age 71. But things back the way they were,Yahoo.... you're tinkering with things that were not broken!

I am so upset with this new update!! The old version was so intuitive. I don't understand why brands are feeling the need to make everything modern, minimalistic, & rounded. "Keep it simple, stupid" - as my boyfriend always says. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. PLEASE @ yahoo team - if you see this: Bring back old 'simple' features such as seeing the total number of unread emails within one's inbox & differentiate between new and read emails (right now, I can hardly tell the difference).

I am lost with this new format. My unread emails aren't marked noticeably anymore, and there's no count of the number of unread messages. Even those that I have read still look the same -- there's no obvious change in marks or appearance. This new format is terrible. Change it back, or I'm dumping yahoo mail in favor of its competition.

Why was the email count discontinued? Most of us do not access mail on a phone and that seems to be the reason for the new format. It is designed for 5th graders by 6th graders who believe they know better. Bring back the adult version please.
