My family and co-workers would love the color theme to be brought back to the original way it was before the change. How it is feels now is so cold and rigid. The "light or dark" appearance does not work for what we like and want. Only having the "light or dark" appearance isn't enough. Please bring it back and notify us when this feature is available again. Thanks!

how do you go from adding colors and landscapes to ONLY black and white as a selection to change your background to.

Could you be any more disgustingly plain than a White, or Black background? WTF is wrong with scenic themes like AOL and Gmail offer, and, like Yahoo use to offer before some nitwit decided to break out the crayons an color everything black or white? Pathetic Yahoo, if you are looking to drive people to other email providers, you off to a fricking good start! Who asked for this **** anyway?

The new inbox is so sterile. I have exhausted all options to find a workaround to add some beauty to the inbox. It is actually making me consider leaving yahoo after many, many years. This is the reason that I held onto classic mail so long. The ability to personalize my inbox.

Light is too bright, dark is too dark, please can we customize how it looks

The new update is hard to read, which is why I changed back to the old version for as long as I could. Can we get themes back to at least adjust the colors and boldness for more contrast? The light mode is so bright and not easy on the eyes. I prefer dark mode, but now there is barely any contrast to distinguish between read and unread emails. I now hate having to check my emails.

I am all for new things if they are functional and easy on the eye. The navigation isn't really the problem. However, so far, this update isn't it, and based on your disclaimer on this page, many people seem to feel the same.

I used to like being able to change the colour. It meant I can see at a glance whether I'm in my personal or work email. Colours make me happy and lift my mood. The dark mode is rubbish and miserable. Also i have three accounts with you so light and dark isn't enough variation.
PLEASE BRING THE COLOURS BACK

Rather than have just 2 options of white or black, can you include a blue background, so it is not so bright and distracting.
Even using the black setting, it's all 1 colour, and why change it from the way it was, or at least give us the option, as this new layout, I do not like.

Need to bring back color options and themes for the back ground. Easier on the eyes when spending more time on here.

In this new email look not everyone likes the new look. If I can't convert back to previous version I would like to change the color theme. Right now the only choices I have are either dark or light. I want an actual color them. If there is an option please let me know where it is so I can change it. I'm not happy with this new look.

Can you please give us some themes or let us use our own pictures for Yahoo mail? So sick of plain backgrounds on the mail. Also, yesterday I was able to add weather to the yahoo mail, now I can't, why?

A feature that's been there since the classic Yahoo gone with this new update. The new themes (and there are only 2 of them - light and dark) are really sad. Where are the other colors? Where's the option for background images?

And then other email services such as Outlook and Gmail offer a lot of themes, some of them are even animated or changes depending on the time of the day. This new Yahoo sucks so bad in comparison.

Offer colored themes, custom wallpapers and accents to the desktop interface so that users can customize the appearance of Yahoo Mail. The old Yahoo offered this, which was great. The new Yahoo Mail only allows for dark or light mode, nothing else. I don't like either of them!

For god's sake. STOP making your interface worse!!!!! We don't need graphics. We don't need bubbly themes and fonts. Straight-forward an concise. That would be nice. Get rid of the stupid Reply and Forward buttons on the bottom of where your email should be. You just killed 10 % of the usable space when filling it with those options there.

Where are the themes? And if it ain't broke, why fix it?? It's email, why does anything have to change?? Leave it alone!!

Make it attractive. It's plain and boring.

Need an option for either allowing us to chose our own colours or adding more themes which are softer. going from bright white or black is too much of a contrast. It's hard to read email InBox with them being on a white background or Black. Can we have softer and more greys please.

I’m unhappy that color themes are no longer available in New Yahoo Mail on desktop. Please restore colored mailbox-border themes. Thank you.
