Mine aren't just rejected. Everyone's comments are gone. There are no comments of any kind, even if I click on "View Comments"" and there is a number of others' comments already posted. It just comes up blank. The little icon on the right at the top of the article is also blank. I wasn't vulgar, crude, offensive or hateful and do not understand why I was banned either. Heck, I've even defended Yahoo in replying to some posts. Even if I can't post, I would, at the very, very least, like to sometimes read comments by others.

You do not have a first amendment right with a private business. So many people spout it and they aren't clear what it is. I suggest you look it up on a reputable sight like the government or university site and not from Joe Smith down the street. They no longer have the "show less" or "show more" links in order to get your pages more to your liking. I used show less of the Kardashians when they were the majority of articles. It worked pretty well.

The comments have disappeared again. Why is that when they are so heavily patrolled? Most discussions on pages where they're allowed have been "healthy".

People accuse Yahoo of forcing them to see things. Unless you are a paying subscriber, they aren't forcing you to do anything. You have choices. While disappointed they no longer have the option to see less of a particular type of article or about a person (such as Kardashians), you take what you get for free or go elsewhere to get it. People seem to want customized, gold level service for free and think of Yahoo as a free speech platform and they are not. Joe, use another service if you don't like it but people need to understand that you get what you get if you aren't paying for the extras.

I don't think comments should be removed but I think Yahoo should be monitoring much better to remove hateful and irrelevant content and trolling. I flag comments for removal where people call for others to kill themselves, etc. and when they are so off topic of the article's subject. We have the option to have those vile, threatening and trollish comments looked at and removed so USE FLAGGING but use it wisely. Don't flag people just because you don't agree with their opinion if they aren't being rude and are on topic. Last but not least, if you don't like comments, don't click.

I don't care for The Federalist or Fox's political stories but asking for the news to be catered one way or another for all is absolutely wrong for multiple reasons including it isn't up to Yahoo to control what we have available to read. First and foremost, DO NOT CLICK on stories you disagree with just to leave a comment negative comment about Yahoo or the subject matter or the ever ignorant "who cares". All you are doing is upping the clicks and the ad revenue. Numbers are looked at, not the "who cares". Use Feedback for that but regardless, having the ability to read differing opinions isn't always bad and it is our responsibility to get educated. That said, there are some too far right and left stories that get picked up. Stay as close to the middle as possible

Maureen, HUGH would have to be a misspelling but remember, some of the articles on Yahoo are from British publications and many words, such as realize are spelled differently there. An 's' is used there in many worlds where we use a 'z'. Other words are defence (defense here), neighbourhood (neighborhood here), and behaviour (behavior here). Check to see who is the actual publisher and if it is Yahoo UK, The Telegraph, The Guardian, The Daily Mail or The Independent, those words are not misspelled but spelled using British English. The US is the one who changed the spellings, not the British.
