Stop automatically playing videos
It's very disconcerting to go to a page, and suddenly hear a blast of sound. If I want to see a video, I will click on it.
This is part of data usage, and is not a minor problem.
I've had to find an add-on to stop this nonsense.

the news section UI is terrible. notifications on comments , but how to use link to see it?
notifications on comments , but how to use link to see it? 80% of the time does nothing . 2/10 times it will take me to new window to see comment reply. why only 20% of the time does it function? go to view past comment, where is it? you have most of my comments listed. if i navigate to new story i commented on ,there it is. but not listed in comment history.

cant access "my comments". "My comments" does not work anymore
"My comments" in yahoo news does not work anymore. Others have same problem. Yahoo needs to fix . Problem independent of browser or IP address.

Difficulty finding and responding to responses
I think it's a bug, but am not sure. I get notifications of responses to my comments in gmail. I click on the Reply to [so and so] button in the email and it takes me...somewhere, usually to the article, but never to where my comment is or where the response is. Am I doing something wrong or is the platfrom bogged down because of high usage.

Fix Yahoo News notification feature
When I click on a Yahoo News notification for my account, it doesn't take me to the comment so I can respond. It makes me scroll through lengthy threads in hopes I can locate the comment response. Very frustrating.

Stop giving Washington Examiner and Fox News more prominence than fact-based news outlets. They are destroying the Yahoo brand.
I have read Yahoo News for decades, and have always felt that you selected outlets and news items fairly, but lately there are more Washington Examiner articles than any other outlet, which is just ludicrous, because it is well known as a hard right-wing outlet that cares only for right wing ideology, and has little regard for truth. I can't support Yahoo anymore with blatant biases like this. Yahoo News has changed from a fact based news service to be a mouthpiece of the hard right. this is the reason why we need the comment section back. What a racist loaded post against Caucasian people. If this was the other way around there would be **** to pay. Healthcare was originally set up for those that worked and earned the ability to apply. Small business that offered low paying position offered health care. Fix the reply to feature
If somebody responds to my comment I get notified in Yahoo mail but when I click on reply I'm not taken to where I can reply. I'm taken to the beginning of the comment section.
