Allow commissioners to set the starting lineup display order
The starting lineup on the My Team and matchup pages now displays as QB, RB, RB, WR, WR, TE, W/R/T, K, DEF. It previously displayed as QB, WR, WR, RB, RB. This is a change to long-standing behavior and there is no setting to control it.
Request: add a league setting that lets the commissioner choose the display order of starting roster slots, or restore the previous default.
Rationale: this change has no upside that I can identify. It does not affect scoring, eligibility, or lineup setting. It only moves where people's eyes land after decades of muscle memory. At my league's draft party this weekend, twelve managers noticed it independently and the reaction was uniformly some version of "why did they change that?" Nobody asked for this.
The cost is real even if it is small. Leagues that publish rulebooks and settings documentation now have materials that no longer match what managers see in the app, so commissioners are reissuing paperwork to explain a cosmetic change nobody requested. Multiply that across every established league on the platform.
If there is a reason for the new order, make it the default and let commissioners opt out. If there is not, restore the old one. Either way, display order should be a setting. It is the lowest-risk kind of change to make configurable, and it costs Yahoo nothing to let long-running leagues keep the convention they have used since they started.
