I don't understand why common spam is not being filtered. No one is soliciting larger penises, herpes cure, or winning lotto tickets.
contact@helpfory.com is a known culprit!

Forgot to mention that I do diligently mark every one of these as spam. The system has not learned yet. This has been going on for well over a month, 2-5 of these per day.

I've been getting tons of spam lately from obviously fake email addresses. The addresses are extremely long (e.g. iao854z2pzmal178au4a0s@uatuptvprolt.vn8we), and the content of the email is almost entirely pictures. It doesn't seem like it would be that hard to recognize these in the spam filter. If it isn't possible to filter these with Yahoo's default filters, maybe provide a way for me to create my own filter based on something relevant, like length of sender address, or the fact that there's no standard extension on these sender addresses (e.g. .com, .net, .edu). I can only create my own filters based on specific email addresses, and these are obviously generated and therefore different every time.

Block sender/delete spam e-mails does NOT work. The e-mails can only be deleted. The same senders keep sending spam and they cannot be blocked.

Is it intentional? Are the spammers paying Yahoo not to filter? I get zero on my gmail account. Yahoo endless spam despite identifying as spam for months.

It has become obvious that the yahoos at yahoo will not, or can not, make any reasonable effort to properly filter out the SPAM they send us in our SPAM folders. I only wish I knew of a good email provider to switch to, that I could get my emails forwarded to.

couldn't agree more with all the comments been getting tons of spams lately i don't get any on my work mail and on two other mailbox. The spam is getting out of control and they should be easy to spot with a simple computer as pointed out by another user, the spelling mistakes and the fact it use anything before @yahoo.com as your name without space most of the time or with the punctuation.
on top of that i'm getting 5 or 6 mails a day claiming to offer dicsount on different big brands all of them with the same adress at the bottom of the mail. how can i block any mail containing that specific adress as the emails changes but the adress at the bottom stays.

Why can't there be a filter for MISSPELLED SUBJECTS. It should not be difficult to flag this because there is "spellcheck".....so they know when things are misspelled. Why can't this be a fatal error if there are these in the subject line, then the email is not sendable.?

This Spam arrives in my INBOX on a daily basis,, and several time during the day. I have listed this as Spam, but it STILL is filtered into my INBOX as new mail. Get on the Ball, Yahoo, and get rid of this particular spam! Or do we all have to get rid of Yahoo????????????

Spam filter absolutely sucks with Yahoo Mail. I've been getting 20+ spam emails a day for the last few days. It's only 10:48am and I've already received 15+ spam emails today. I also have a Gmail account, and I never get this many spam emails.

Where did the filters go to direct certain mail that a folder has been made for?

The spam filter in yahoo mail is the absolute worst! Many times I genuine emails from trusted sources (which I have received emails from plenty of times in the past) show up in the spam folder. Now, I'm getting every spam message duplicated. It's bad enough to have the spam that comes through, but it's worse now. I must check the spam folder due to the inconsistent filtering that Yahoo does. FIX THE SPAM FILTER!

I subscribe to technical mailing lists and Yahoo has begun sticking shed loads of the mail into spam folder. e.g. lua, postgres hackers. gcc developers.
This makes yahoo mail untrustworthy and I basically have to migrate to gmail or some other provider.

When you mark the spam to block and delete, the span disappears from the spam folder than in less then a minute it reappears in the spam folder. This needs to be fixed!!!!!!!!!
