Better filters to direct spam away from my inbox. Way too much spam mail!!

Indeed, pathetic experience!! The blocked list now shows only one address, whereas I took some special 30 minutes today to block all the addresses.
Now, Yahoo wants me to "prepare a list" and add it to the blocked sender list it seems! Very worst experience, simple functionality of blocking spam messages seems difficult to implement for Yahoo?

Spam has always been really bad on Yahoo but the last week or so it's been far worse. I am getting 20-50 per day in my spam folder and 2-5 in my regular inbox. I stupidly pay $20 per year thinking it would limit spam. My Gmail account is free and there's minimal spam. Many times when I place an Amazon order I get an email saying the order didn't go through but it isn't from amazon. Stripe, Big Cartel, Max Loan, and fake dating sites are the most common offenders. Wish I could block by key word.

Blocking Spam is pointless. I go to the drop down and check the box that says it will delete and prevent any future spam from listed addresses. I actually get MORE spam from these very same addresses. So much of Yahoo mail is just for show. Why have this so called function is it doesn't work? Yeah, it's easy to click the delete box in the spam folder, but that's not the point. Hint: fix the so called functions you offer, or clean up your web site and get rid of all the functions that have no validity. Thank you!

I never had trouble with spam/inappropriate emails in my email. These emails were automatically sent to spam such as those with ****** content. Now they are appearing in my regular email. What have you changed? Change it back.

If Yahoo doesn't improve their spam filter by a large margin, I'll have to shut down my email account. Definitely not looking forward to transferring EVERYTHING to a new account.

You have a button that "allows" you to block senders (and I have been doing this for two weeks), yet when I go to the settings...security and privacy, it only shows one email address. Guess what, I still get spam from that same exact email. Why do I only have one blocked sender when I suspect that I have blocked at least 50. How about you send me an email asking if I know this person, if I say yes, they are approved...if I say no they are added to a filter and I never even see it. Would be able to get rid of spam email box.

I agree 100%. This spam since ATT took over is ridiculous! Most of us may look for another system to use and not Google. ATT is not making any friends.

Same ********* problem. If Yahoo doesn't improve their spam filter by a large margin, I'll have to shut down my email account of 15 years with them. Definitely not looking forward to transferring EVERYTHING to a new account.

I have marked the same items multiples of times as SPAM and the filters work roughly 40% of the time. Why would you someone pay for mail service that is not fully functional?

I have been inundated with spam from the same core email address but with different names assigned to it. I have flagged and flagged as spam... said email address was compromised... and continue to receive spam email from this same address. It even increased. I receive approximately 40 emails a day. Out of those 40, at lease 30 are spam from the same email address. What good does flagging a message as spam if it continues to propagate???

I have never seen so many spams in a daily way, not until Oath bought Yahoo. Even it was classified as spam the day before, they continue showing up every single day.
Please respect your clients or we will move forward. As a reminder, you are not the only email company. -

Getting way too many spam emails from the same domain name addresses when they use a ever changing sub-domain name variants. Yahoo need to update and fixed email filters to include not just filtering out domain name. But all variants of that domain name sub-domain names associated to that domain name with a "wildcard" sub-domain update to the filters e.g.
"balancedtimetoday.com" and by all its sub-domain names "resources.balancedtimetoday.com"
We need a filter like "*.balancedtimetoday.com" or "%.balancedtimetoday.com" where either the "*" or "%" is the "wildcard" variable to filter out all the spam domain name ever changing sub-domains. Currently this does not work in in Yahoo filters "From" for matching content. Yes it can match content but does not work for ever changing sub-domains currently!
