Same here, started about a month ago for me. Clearly spam gets right through to the inbox.

in the last couple of weeks, I get up to 10 spam emails into my inbox; filtering does not seem to be working, nor marking them as spam. Please get this fixed!! It is really annoying especially when I'm on my phone reading email. Considering getting rid of my yahoo mail account for this reason.

Hi guys, over the last six months countless spam emails have been getting through to my inbox. Marking the emails as spam does not seem to help assist with the filtering at all.

Need to be able to block whole domains, not just individual emails. Also need more powerful manual filters, e.g. forwarding for certain domains etc., not just moving folders.

Getting a lot of spam in my inbox with addresses that are very long like this: wpBuvPbb9sCMqB3YSme8U9MExYF@sangat.rapidnd.com
e81d2e2yjgh2uy1kih1sz4j8yyk@bmyefprlrcu.442bd
gmlqokzcab3bvsgy2t@devrah.dantee.co.uk
Seems like there would be a way to detect that they should automatically be sent to the spam inbox due to their gibberish.

For the last few years, there has been periodic breaks in the spam filter. For 2-3 days every 6 months or so, all sorts of spam would get through. Now for the last month or so, spam is getting through way more frequently. It doesn't look like the spam has gotten more sophisticated, it looks like the filter is performing worse.

For a long time I had no Spam in my inbox. In the last month or so, I get several Spam messages in my inbox every day! What can we do about it?

I agree with Cesar Rodriguez below. I really doubt a Terminex or window blinds storefront in Europe would be able to help me in Colorado. And when I set up a filter to send all *.eu emails to Spam, the filter resets in a few minutes to Inbox!?!

Bottom line is nobody is going to read this. I know that. Everyone here apparently does.
That being said. I used to be a paying member to Yahoo, ever think about what's changed? Probably not. We do not want our emails read for marketing purposes - Google is just as bad. We do not want to be marketed to. We do not want SPAM. This service is not about the customers, it is about partners and how can we sell generally poor marketing, generally filled with spam and hacks, to people that have no other choice. Eeryday hacks and data breaches, everyday new comprises in network technology, and everyday companies like this are pushing it forward and sharing more and more information. Yes, I am sure yahoo works hard to protect its networks, but even if I pay I will still get my information shared, hacks, and spammed to death. Tell me I'm wrong, but prove it.
To post in this blog/forum, Yahoo provides guidance not to post personal information. Are you kidding - we do not need to post our personal information - Yahoo makes us sign an agreement (click agree) stating, "that to use Yahoo Services" - Yahoo will share your personal information for us because in the business world - partners are just so trustworthy. Like Verizon has ever been known for protecting its customers? Seriously?
Here is the test - respond to this post or to me in an email and prove me wrong, but nobody in Yahoo will. At this point, Yahoo is basically capitalizing on customers that are falling off - I know, I am one of them. The last CEO hurt Yahoo, but instead of changing, Yahoo is making it worse? Why?Does Yahoo even realize that I am generating this because I got an email requesting to be removed from their support groups? I never sent such a request? In fact, I complimented Yahoo on the change in leadership. Flickr has gotten much better, but I also heard Yahoo sold flickr off. My compliment was to Yahoo prior to the sale. People - WTF are you doing?

Use to maybe get 1 spam occassionally now it can be anywhere from 10 to 30 a day an this is out of control. Maybe we all need to move away from Yahoo mail.

I agree. Never had spam mail until they started messing around with yahoo. Too much spam mail is NOT worth a yahoo account

I have noticed a lot of spam coming from Europe with the domain name and '.eu' at the end. Yahoo engineers: please fix the filtering function so that it actually works. I added a filer to send anything with the .eu' ending to the trash mailbox and still ends up in the SPAM mailbox. It appears that the only solution is to really dump yahoo mail for another mail provider. I may just do that if the filtering cannot be fixed.

The spam folder is generally useless for me because I still have to go through each item in there to ensure none of my bills got marked as spam.

Lately I have been receiving too many spam emails...why is the filtering gone from acceptable to bad?

I would love to have the ability to block all senders except those on my contact list. I receive hundreds of spam emails each week and it is extremely tedious to block each one when I know a new robo-spam account will pop up in no time.
