1. Version

   Not just navigation but folders, settings, navigation, other.

   I have three phones.
   They are identical Samsung S22 Ultras.

   I have the Play Store version of the Yahoo mail app on each of these phones.

   On two of them, the settings stay the way I put them.
   On one of them... this one... the settings keep reverting or progressing and the app seems to spontaneously morph into a version I do not want.

   If I look in settings, and find the app version number, it will be the same, and will not have changed.

   That version is: 7.67.1.1842620

   It is the same as on my other two phones.

   After the app interface and settings menu morphs into the unwanted version, there is no way for me to change it back, unless I uninstall the app, reinstall it, and reassign all my settings.

   Alternatively, I can achieve the same results by going to the app settings in my phone, and clearing the data.
   Clearing only the cache has no effect, and clearing the data also clears the cache.

   Whether I've done it by clearing the data, or by uninstalling and reinstalling the app, I am then able to go into the now refreshed app, and proceed by re-setting up everything as I like it.

   First I have to select the color I want.
   Then I must proceed through the suggested options screens such as for adding accounts or accepting notifications, etc.

   After that, I'm allowed to see the interface screen, and I see that the app is now the version that it's supposed to be, except for all the settings being not exactly the way I want them.

   I go to the settings, and I proceed through the settings until I've got everything back exactly the way I want it.

   It's perfect.
   I'm happy.
   But only temporarily.

   But for now, the controls are where I want them...for instance, the folders are accessed through an icon in the bottom left hand corner of the screen.
   That particular thing is the most important one to me.

   Now that everything is where it's supposed to be, I can proceed to get things done.

   And when I've done all that I can, I close the app.

   Later, when it's time for me to check the mail again, I'll open the app again, and it will no longer be as I left it.

   Folders access would no longer be in the lower left hand corner of the screen, but rather will be accessible only through my profile icon via a drop-down menu from the upper left hand corner of the screen.
   Now, a billboard at the top of my mail list is suggesting for me to select which inbox categories I want.
   And I don't want any of them.
   I tell it so.
   Then, I go to the settings and see if there's anything I can do to make this a more habitable place now that everything is where I don't want it to be.
   And I see that the settings menu is significantly different now.

   I've been through this at least a hundred times.
   I think it's been many more.

   I didn't realize that this would be public...so I've blocked out my phone number, and I suggest that you contact me through my email.

   If I had the ability to give you screenshots of everything, this might still take hours.

   As it is, it's been suggested to me that I make all the images I think I need to, and then post them somewhere online, and furnish you with links to them.

   It seems like a massive ordeal, honestly.

   I think once you see this, you should contact me.

   We can make arrangements for you to directly access my device while I run through all of the unfortunately futile things that I have to run through in order to restore the functionality I need to the app.

   You can then witness the inevitable reversion.

   During that process, you can take all the screenshots that you want or think you'll need.

   This doesn't happen to my other two phones, Each of which shares the identical software updates for the operating system.

   At some point in in the past, I believe I was enrolled in the beta program.

   I don't recall that that was restricted to one particular device.
   Perhaps it was.
   Perhaps it was this one.

   But I've uninstalled and reinstalled the app dozens and dozens of times...and dozens and dozens and dozens of times.

   I will grant you access to anything you want to look at in this phone.
   And to anything you want to look at in my other two phones.

   I just want this to be over.

2. Regular users get to block e-mail domains, and not just addresses

   Again, I am asking that you give Yahoo! subscribers who are NOT on Yahoo+! the option of having blocks on domains.
   Why?
   Because I listed the domains that were persistently changing their title, eg. info@, admin@, casino@, spins@, but using same domain over and over.
   The domains that are now being used are from the same source as before in Japan, and routing through a second server, which I assume they have hacked, in Germany.
   Specifically, the domains in question are:

   @wfuv.mayantial.jp.hindependense.com.de
   @wfuv.mayantial.jp.cortified.de

   And, they always send their SPAM through at the same time every day, around 5pm UK time and up to 7pm UK time.
   If you can't do something to allow me to block these domains by giving me a number of blocks above 1000 (Google and Outlook both give unlimited addressee blocks) then these idiots are going to continue harassing me and other Yahoo! mail users.
   From my Settings, I am again close to reaching the limit of blocks I can use. And because they have used "spinscastle@, partner@, goldenpharoahcasino@, admin@ on the most recent SPAM, they are using up 4 of my addressee block. The limits are not enough, but they are still getting through because you won't allow regular users the option to block domains.

   DO SOMETHING, ANYTHING, TO MAKE THESE SPAMMERS GO AWAY. PLEASE.

   Again, I am asking that you give Yahoo! subscribers who are NOT on Yahoo+! the option of having blocks on domains.
   Why?

4. Rapid review of inbox

   I love that clearing multiple messages out of your inbox in seconds. Is there a way for us to launch it on our own? Right now it occurs randomly and usually not when I have time to clean everything up

5. Email keeps logging out.

   Very annoyed that Yahoo email keeps logging me out. This happens 5 or 6 times a day. What can be causing this???? I have tried to file a complaint to Yahoo email but the process leads to a link that doesn't work, so that's no help.

6. No Matching Messages

   What idiot thought it was a good idea to put NO MATCHING MESSAGES as a notice that your folder is empty?!?!?!??!?!?! IF my folder is empty have it read: FOLDER EMPTY . The phrase No Matching Messages just tells me that I need to do some more digging to find the messages I was wondering if I had. Can't think of a worse message than no matching messages, that denotes that I need to spend the next 2 hours looking for messages that DO match. I was thinking of switching my emails over to Yahoo plus but if you are making changes like this and think YES, that is what we want to show you have an empty folder, no matching messages. (then watch these idiot customers look for some matching messages, haha) well, this customer thinks not FUNNY!

8. tracking down the lazy people who had emailed me numerous time asking to upgrade my acc

   please check my inbox, I have been getting emails from people who send numerous emails asking me to pay to update my account or else my account will be close and all emails will be deleted. Can you please track down this/es people and report them to the authorities

9. spam not being filtered out

   I never used to get so much spam in my inbox, it was always filtered out to the correct place. Lately (the last week or so), all the spam that used to go directly to my spam folder is ending up in my inbox. WHY????

10. Make it faster and less clunky

11. GET RID OF IT!!!

    I HAVE BEEN LOOKING FOR ALL OF MY EMAILS EVER SINCE YOU MADE US SWITCH TO NEW MAIL. I FINALLY FIND OLD MAIL AGAIN AFTER MONTHS OF LEAVING FEEDBACK THAT I COULD NOT FIND ALL MY EMAILS. NOW THAT I HAVE FIND MY OLD MAIL, I HAVE BEEN DELETING MONTHS OF OLD EMAILS THAT I THOUGH WERE GONE. SHAME OF YOU YAHOO FOR PUTTING US IN SUCH STRESS FOR MONTHS WITHOUT EXPLAINING WHERE MY EMAILS HAD GONE.

14. Bring Back the Stationery Option, please!

    I thought I was just losing my mind when I couldn't find the Stationery option for my messages. I looked and looked for months thinking I just needed to look harder for it & that it must have been moved to another area in my e-mail...but one day I searched online for it & was SO disappointed to find that it had actually been removed altogether. Please bring it back! I know the reasoning from Yahoo said that it was outdated, but I didn't think that was true at all...nor did the people who received e-mails on Yahoo stationery. I got so many compliments on my messages--more importantly, it helped the messages to stand out so they weren't lost in a sea of boring emails. Emailing is so much more boring now--please bring it back!

17. Issue: "Try a device you’ve signed in with before"

    I have another Yahoo account that you have blocked access to. Yesterday, I was still able to log-in to that other account, but as of today, after using the correct password, it says "Try a device you’ve signed in with before". Well, I am using the same device always. This is the only laptop computer that I am using in the last 15 years! However, I do reinstall the windows operating system about once a week. It may look like a new device, but it is the exact same one. Moreover, I am able to log-in to this current Yahoo account, and therefore it is strange that I cannot login to my other Yahoo account that is blocked (both accounts are linked for recovery). I understand that you are trying to "protect" my other account from hackers, but instead, you are causing harm to me. I could open a replacement new Yahoo account instead, but then I will have to ask everybody to update my contact info. I wish you had a better way to fight the criminals without hurting me, your customer. BTW, by forcing me to abandon my other Yahoo account that is blocked, you incentivise customers like myself to switch and create the replacement new account with either Google or Microsoft.

19. Change the "Move" Drop Down to remain showing the last time used and not return to the top

    A long time ago, when we selected an email and used the "Move" drop down to select a folder, moved the email, the Drop down would remain where the folder was selected and not return to the top folder. Many times, we get an email, send a reply, move the inbox email to a folder, then go to the Sent folder to move the sent email to the same folder, we have to scroll down and find the folder again.

    Leaving the Drop down showing the folder from the last selection screen would be more efficient than always having to start from the top.

    A long time ago, when we selected an email and used the "Move" drop down to select a folder, moved the email, the Drop down would remain where the folder was selected and not return to the top folder. Many times, we get an email, send a reply, move the inbox email to a folder, then go to the Sent folder to move the sent email to the same folder, we have to scroll down and find the folder again.

20. Featured by Yahoo ads suck up all the space for reading emails!!!!

    The "Featured by Yahoo" ads that appear in the middle of my screen and eat up space for viewing messages are horrible. I understand as a free service, ads are part of the deal and they are fine to side where I glance at them. But DO NOT eat up the limited space for the content that keeps me coming back to your site (i.e., my emails) !!!! It's not like I couldn't move to another email site in about 30 minutes....

    Turn off this ad placement !!!!
