1. How about letting us customize the left sidebar?

   Hey Yahoo! How about letting us customize the left sidebar to allow us to reorder the "views" and the "folders" items. Right now all I can do is "hide" or "show" them. I personally would like to delete the views part, but being able to move it to the bottom would be good enough for now.

5. Filtering capability needs upgrade now

   I've really appreciated the more sophisticated filtering Yahoo email has provided but it needs to be upgraded for easier use now. There now exists email preparation programs that takes a list of contacts and customizes spam to send individual emails to recipients thereby bypassing your Yahoo spam detection which apparently looks for emails sent to multiple recipients. Taking the time to set up filters for all the new and growing customized spam using the current filter setup is now too impractical and will only get worse. Please consider allowing a filter to be set from the Inbox page. I suggest something such as a user selects an email to read and a sidebar appears where part of the sender name, sender domain or subject can be selected and copied on appropriate lines and the filter saved. I have been considering upgrading to a paid Yahoo email account but at this point this growing spam getting into my Inbox is forcing me to reconsider using Yahoo email as my primary email service altogether. Thanks.

6. deleting emails in a specific day

   I would like to set a timer or to be able to set a specific day for deleting an e-mail. For example, discounts for shopping an they are valid for some days, meaning i get my e-mail on Monday and it is valid until Wednesday. I woyld like to set an Autodelete on Thursday, so I dont have to check my entire inbox which e-mails i should delete.

7. What happened to my inbox? Did you guys do something? I can't tell the difference between a new email and an already read email. It all l

   I can't tell the difference between unread and read emails. They are now all the same. And, all the "Cs" look like "Os". This is terrible.

   Change the news feed setting in yahoo;

   Either: allow a choice of what news source to view, add an option to turn off the news feed altogether, or present news w/o bias or leaning.

   Been with yahoo since 1995. Please do not cause us to abandon Yahoo over these forced tactics to promote a particular political ideology!

11. Stopping **** invites from yahoo groups

    I keep getting invites from Yahoo Groups that are clearly **** related. I have changed the settings on my Yahoo Groups to never receive email invitations, and put a filter or "yahoogroups.com" to put them straight into my spam folder but they still come through. What the *, Yahoo? Stop allowing * to be emailed to me though one of your products!

    USA and many other countries now know about regulation for PWD-people with disability. Many huge companies created special department to help PWD –Microsoft, HP, Verizon wireless, Verizon land line and some other companies.
    In USA there is ADA requirement –American with Disability Act that requires every company, organization make as much as possible to accommodate PWD.
    
    Sounds that Yahoo that serves people all over the world not truly aware about it. Now Yahoo force everyone use new Yahoo mail. Did Yahoo administration checked if it will accommodate people with different disabilities? Sounds not. Before implement new Yahoo mail, you should ask your consumers, users, PWD, specialists who working with PWD how to make it friendly to everyone.

15. Keeping Stay signed in checked by default is incorrect

    A small clarification is sought regarding the User Interface of Yahoo Mail Login Page.

    It is about 'Stay signed in'.

    I suppose the purpose of this checkbox is to keep the users who check this to stay logged into their mail account. This is particularly helpful for people who own personal computer. For persons who use public computers, it is not advisable for them to stay logged in after they have closed their browser without logging out.

    A person who logs into a personal computer can leave this checkbox untouched as it is checked by default and then he/she has access to the mailbox without repeat logins. But a naive user using a public computer must uncheck this option everytime that he logs into the system. And by mistake if he forgets to uncheck this option, then there are chances of his mail account being misused. Moreover on some resolutions, the 'Stay signed in' does not appear without scrolling, so a naive user can enter the username and press enter without even noticing this checkbox.

    Assume if we keep the checkbox unchecked by default. A personal computer user can check this option once and then he/she has access to the mailbox without repeat logins. Even if he/she forgets to check this option, they can do it any time later during subsequent logins. They have nothing to lose as there is not going to be any account breach because of not checking the option. A public computer user need not uncheck this option each time that he/she logs into the account.

    In this context, would not it be safe to keep the checkbox unchecked by default to favour the public computer users for every login they have to make and let private computer users enable it at their will just once. I suppose this is something similar to autofocus on 'No' when we prompt a user for deleting a file or folder or autofocus on 'Yes' when we prompt a user for saving a file.

    I had been thinking about this for a long period of time. During this long period of time, GMail has removed this option altogether. I also have my own doubts that there may be something logical behind this decision of keeping it checked by default which I am unable to grasp. May be you might have used the statistics of the number of private computer users and public computer users to arrive at this decision. Even if so, we can still favour the public computer users who login umpteen number of times compared to private computer users who needs to login just once or intermittently. Even if the private computer user logs onto a shared computer, I think keeping this option unchecked by default would help the user. Kindly let me know.

16. Historic security email unable to remove

    I have a historic email address as security, which has not been used for many years, thus this creates a security risk, should anyone recreate the email address and this way might gain access to my Yahoo email. Please help with removal of old unwanted email addresses from security. Thanks!

18. Adding a new or different email address. Make it a single process and NOT all over the place!!!!!

    I have been on my system for OVER an hour 1/2 trying to complete what I thought was going to be a simple task. All I wanted to do was ADD a 2nd Yahoo email address. I have click, and click, and clicked and click and followed every direction to make this happen but here I am an hr. 1/2 later and I still can not get this done. I go on your so-called chat that find it to be ABSOLUTELY USELESS!!!!!!!! This a screen pops up giving you a number to call 800.320.9335. Guess what you get there . . . a recording telling you HELP is going to costs you some monthly fee!!!! Before all is said and done, companies in the USA are going to learn that they can not continue to do business putting their customers in such position. What kind of customer service is this? This is your product that you are NOT adequately supporting. System keeps telling me the new email address needs to be verified. OK, where/HOW? If you do not have a cell phone number to send a text to how do you get verified?
