Scrolling through mail is jumpy as it skips emails

Scrolling through email is impossible. I use the scroll wheel on my mouse to look through email as I use a pc. I can start at the top and after one or two short scrolls down it jumps down so I miss several hours of emails For example, my newest email came at 6:12pm today..After I get down to 4:20pm it jumps to mail received at 1pm without my even scrolling and when I go back up I see I missed 32 emails received. No matter how many times I go back to the top and try again it always happens. It's frustrating as I can't read what's in my inbox if it's going to keep skipping emails. This never occurred in the old format. Something is wrong. Maybe you make this version for phone and not for pcs? Then you need to offer two separate versions, one an app and the other a web based service like old mail.

    improve scrolling capabilities: when trying to scroll through emails the list constantly jumps back to the top of the list. there is a SLIGHT improvement SOMETIMES if I use the scroll bar on the right side to try and go down the list. Has this problem been reported by others? It is so very frustrating and such a waste of time trying to navigate down the list!

    Every time I delete a message or attempt to scroll down, the screen consistently moves back up to the top. There are so many ads that the screen glitches. Very frustrating.

    This is perfect info so thank you for providing all this for us! Especially the browser and browser version. Then we can try and replicate. Can you by chance replicate this all the time? As in, can you send us a video of this happening? If you can, please send to oasis.mail.feedback@yahooinc.com. Thank you soooo much for your help!!

    Bug.
    It seems that when I am scrolling down my inbox, the screen will refresh and I'll find I'm back at my 'active' message in the inbox. It seems to happen if I mouse scroll and get close to the bottom of the inbox. It is super frustrating.

    My workaround is - as I am scrolling, I will select a message just to have it be 'active' while I continue scrolling down. Otherwise, I can never get to the 'bottom' of my inbox.

    I am on a macbook. On Chrome (I'm on version 141.0.7390.108). Not the paid version of Yahoo mail.

    The new navigation is very jumpy. If I scroll down in the messages, click and open a message and then use the back button to go back to the inbox window, the view jumps to the top (or some other random place). This is very frustrating as I then have to scroll back to where I was in the inbox. This did not happen in the old mail client. Please fix this as it makes this unusable.

    when scrolling down thru mail, it keeps jumping back to top--over and over again. I need to find an email that was sent about 5 days ago--and as soon as I get into that range, yahoo mail jumps back up to the top (most current) all over again!!! This is stupid and annoying and it needs to stop doing that. No new email--just constantly jumping to top of list!

    I'm trying to go over unread emails and when scrolling down, I am automatically taken to an earlier email.
    What can I do to solve this issue?

    Hi,
    As I scroll through the list of emails, it frequently will jump back to the email I have open. I'll often scan through the list of unread emails to see if anything is pertinent, and it will jump back, and I'll lose my place of where I was at, and have to either find my place or start over. It is very frustrating, and happens too frequently.

    Just recently my inbox has begun to have a mind of its own. When I scroll down to pick an email to read, while I'm reading that email the list of other emails on the left jumps back up to the top - which then requires me to scroll back down to where I was in order to pick up where I left off in selecting the emails I want to read right then. It's so annoying!!! Please make it stop!!!!

    I absolutely HATE that every time I get a new email, it moves me back to the top of the page!!! WTF yahoo, what is the point of that???? If I am trying to go through a backlog of emails, or for any other reason WANT TO REMAIN AT A CERTAIN POINT OR DATE, WHHHYYYYYYY make it jump just because I got another email??? It is THE WORST. Thinking of getting rid of Yahoo altogether, just for that but the other changes also pretty much suck also.

    Email list automatically scrolls back to most recent. Boooo....

    When I'm going through my Inbox and do something with an email, whether it's filing it or deleting, the Inbox list automatically scrolls back to the top of the list to the most recent email. This is super frustrating when you're trying to to clean out your Inbox and have to scroll down back to where you were, which sometimes is impossible to know or remember as you're moving things around! Please fix that! We thank you.

    i have to keep refreshing because inbox mail keeps riding up to where the top tab you cannot access. starts to blend in with tool bar. why?? every time i refresh it then it looks perfect and can access everything.

    This new version is beyond glitchy. When scrolling, it jumps around and often goes all the way back to the top every time a new ad loads. Until you have a version that actually works, please go back to the old one.

    After performing an action on an email (read or delete), the inbox view automatically refreshes and scrolls back to the top of the message list (oldest/newest, depending on sort). This behavior forces me to manually scroll down again to find my previous position, which disrupts workflow and is both inefficient and time-consuming.

    Is there a setting or configuration option to persist scroll position in the inbox so that the view doesn’t reset after each action?

    After I read or delete an email, the inbox annoyingly refreshes and jumps right back to the top of the list. It completely throws me off because I then have to scroll all the way down again just to find where I left off. Honestly, it’s disruptive and a waste of time.

    What I expect is simple: the inbox should keep me in place after I take an action, instead of resetting me to the top every single time. At the very least, there should be an option to keep the scroll position so I don’t lose my spot.

    When clicking in the trash can item on the list of emails (web version new ui), it deletes the email but it takes you back to the top of the list. So to check the next email, I have to scroll down the list to find where I am. I will probably delete the next email, which then takes me back to the top of the list and I have to scroll again. This endeless scrolling when cleaning mail emails are very annoying.

    when scrolling on a list of emails often list gets back to last inbox email losing pointer then necesary to scroll back again and again

    For the first time in 25 years, I'm considering leaving Yahoo Mail. Scrolling in my inbox completely lacks any fluidity and the ads are forcing themselves onto the screen. It is a terrible experience and needs to be redone. Joe
