WHAT'S NEW?
Search by Sender - Just hover over the sender's profile image and a spyglass icon will appear where you can search all emails by that sender.
Multi-Tasking Tabs - Like before, open an email in a new tab.
AI Summaries - Ability to disable. Go to Settings > AI Features > Toggle Off
Number of Total Messages - Hover over the Inbox Icon and you will see both total number of messages and unread.
Sender's Email Address - You don't have to open the message to see the sender's email address. Just hover over the sender's name from your Inbox.

Differentiate Unread v. Read - Better ways to see the difference.
Resize Images - Resize an image within the message.
Inbox Categories - Default to "All" category instead of always Priority.
Right Hand Column - Ability to minimize: Contacts, Starred, More (Currently for Yahoo Mail Plus subscribers)


TIPS:
Inbox Categories - You can go back to having just ONE Inbox. Go to Settings > Personalize Inbox.
Keep Folders Expanded - First expand left hand column by hovering on Inbox edge until you see Double Arrows. Then a drop down will show up next to Folders.
Bulk Delete - Click on a checkbox from your Inbox and a new checkbox will appear at the top. From there you can Select All and Delete All.
Sender's Email Address - You don't have to open the message to see the sender's email address. Just hover over the sender's name from your Inbox.
Dark Mode - Go to Settings > Appearance.

  4. Have Unread Emails appear in the Primary Mail tab

    Why do I have to click over to a separate "Unread" tab to see some of my emails? And why is that Unread tab buried in a separate tab which has so little features in it, you could just put them all on the control bar on the side! Why does clicking on the Inbox default to "Primary" instead of "All"? And how does the system decide which emails show up in 'primary"?

    What was the point of this stupid update? all it does is make my email more of a hassle.

  5. Too big andbold font, less mails per page

    Bad design, bad, bad. We all want clear lines, less details, no bold, big fonts, just simple inbox. Why on Earth chenge that??? Noboday likes it. Do you read forums???

  6. No JavaScript

    The new interface you're forcing on people is a nightmare for old computers. The Basic version (basic basic, with the /b/ in the URL) worked super because it didn't need JS to be functional, I could open all my emails in separate tabs easily, it loaded very fast, and I didn't have to fish around to find the right setting.
    I can still force the basic version but the moment I try to get somewhere it goes back to the /n/ version, and I can't get where I want. I know there's no way you're going to go back (because…

    why is my email address always coming up with another address I never registered for. anytime i am trying to insert my email address it comes up with my name@icloud.com. message sent to this address never delivers, can I asked that my registered username be maintained please.

  11. Let us choose the way we see and use our mailbox - bring back the old look and themes.

    Yahoo has gone downhill all the way. The android app is literally unusable at this point. The desktop was somehow bearable, but now the old look toggle is gone. No, I won't like the "new experience". This is not an experience, this in an inconvenience.

  14. the delete key from keyboard stopped working

    Since forever the delete key on the keyboard has deleted the mail currently in view. With the latest UI update, that has stopped working. Please fix it.

  15. Out of Office response

    Hi, the out of office response does not seem to allow selecting dates for a single day. Example if I am out of the office for 21st Aug 2026, the end date can't be set to 21st Aug, instead it sets at 22nd Aug and send the out of office message to emails received on the 22nd.

  17. Not able to download notes still even after it was mentioned as fixed by admin

    As notes is closing down, I am not able to download notes from yahoo, even now it gives error when "download your notes" link is clicked not sure whether its being tested out still after fix checked on 23 july 2026

    Hi there, can you send us a screenshot of the error message you are receiving? And then tell us which browser and browser version you are using?
