WHAT'S NEW?
Search by Sender - Just hover over the sender's profile image and a spyglass icon will appear where you can search all emails by that sender.
Multi-Tasking Tabs - Like before, open an email in a new tab.
AI Summaries - Ability to disable. Go to Settings > AI Features > Toggle Off
Number of Total Messages - Hover over the Inbox Icon and you will see both total number of messages and unread.
Sender's Email Address - You don't have to open the message to see the sender's email address. Just hover over the sender's name from your Inbox.

Differentiate Unread v. Read - Better ways to see the difference.
Resize Images - Resize an image within the message.
Inbox Categories - Default to "All" category instead of always Priority.
Right Hand Column - Ability to minimize: Contacts, Starred, More (Currently for Yahoo Mail Plus subscribers)


TIPS:
Inbox Categories - You can go back to having just ONE Inbox. Go to Settings > Personalize Inbox.
Keep Folders Expanded - First expand left hand column by hovering on Inbox edge until you see Double Arrows. Then a drop down will show up next to Folders.
Bulk Delete - Click on a checkbox from your Inbox and a new checkbox will appear at the top. From there you can Select All and Delete All.
Sender's Email Address - You don't have to open the message to see the sender's email address. Just hover over the sender's name from your Inbox.
Dark Mode - Go to Settings > Appearance.

  2. Let paying users go back to the older interface. This new one is terrible.

    I have been a yahoo user for nearly 30 years. I am considering a permanent change to a different mail provider.

  3. Return to the Classic Version of Yahoo Mail

  6. The New Format is Clunky

    It takes me three times as long to go through my emails with the new format. In the old format it was straight forward to mark multiple emails and go through them quickly to delete them, As you know most of what I get is Junk. I need to be able to easily scroll through them and uncheck the ones I want to look at and delete all the rest. Overall I hate the new user interface. There's no delineation between the various sections. I've been with Yahoo for a long long time. I'm not sure how much longer with…

    Please put it back to normal. I can't even get to yahoo news now. It's AWFUL. I will pick another email as my primary if I can't change it back.

  9. Enable sending emails to groups with one click. The current "Email this list" bar doesn't work.'t work.

  14. I want the old Format Back and I can't find the option. The new one sucks!

    I want the old format back. I was able to change it back when it made me change last time and now it changed me again and I want the old format back. How do I fix it? It is not in settings! The new formatting sucks! The way it makes your emails is harder to read and find them. Please give me the old format.....................

  16. New Version is horrible

    Of all the product updates and upgrades and new versions I've experienced in 30 years of adulthood, this is the worst. Is there no alternative available for my account? It seems some peope have access to Classic or Basic, but I don't. Please explain.

  17. switch it back

    Let me see more than ten emails at once, don't add popups that intrude on my clicking, and Light and Dark Mode should not be mostly gray. I am angry and disgusted. This new UI is in every way worse.

  18. Exporting Yahoo Mail

    The way things are "evolving" with Yahoo Mail and features, I would not be surprised if we receive notificiation in the not-so-distant future that Yahoo Mail will be going away or that it will be FURTHER downsized to an incredibly low and impractical size or users will need to pay big bucks to kee it.

    It seems to me Yahoo is tone-deaf to the needs and wants of its user base vs beta testers. So I'd like to start transitioning to another email provider with an effortless way to export all my mail.
