Playoffs - Odd number of teams
This playoff format would allow for an odd number of teams in the playoffs. Currently, this is not an option for playoff formats.

7-Team playoffs are now available with Yahoo Fantasy Commissioner Plus: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/started-yahoo-fantasy-commissioner-sln36403.html

Yes! I have a 10 team league with 4 teams making the playoffs, 4 teams getting placed in a pointless consolation bracket, and the last two teams disappearing.
In addition to the championship playoff we wanted to do a "Toilet Bowl" type competition between the 2 last place teams to determine the ultimate loser of our league. Looks like I'll have to do this manually since the last two teams just disappear after the regular season.
Commissioner MUST have the ability to set up their respective league's playoffs how they see fit. Please work on this.

You could have chosen the 6 x 6 option and all 12 teams would have a game this weekend.

We lock a team's rank once their regular season is over or once they get bounced out of the playoffs. I want the ability to shut off the consolation bracket and the ability to shut off the 5th place game and 3rd place game. They might have a bronze metal match in the Olympics but not in the NFL, you lose, you're out.
We want flexibility Yahoo! Not a choice between A and A.

Shouldn't have to go through and adjust scores to fix this. That's why I do not like yahoo.

Them not having this is literally keeping me out of the playoffs by less than ten points...

The current options are 8 with no consolation or 6 x 6 with 2 teams missing the bracket completely

Would love to have 9-12 in a 12 team league play for 9th place just like 5-8 do.

It's football. I like how winner takes all in only one week. Fine for an option as long as we can keep it the way it is if we like it.

It's ridiculous that as Commish, I can alter regular season schedules and match-ups, but not the playoffs. If Yahoo can't give leagues the options of setting their own tie-breakers, at least allow Commissioners to set playoff matchups. The functionality exists! Why turn it off when the playoffs start?

What a joke! I have a 12 team league and two separate divisions. Top 3 in each division get a playoff birth with division winners getting a buy. I now have teams from separate divisions playing each other in the first round matchup and no way to adjust anything besides butchering regular season stats. Which I don't mind tinkering with but any changes take 24 hours to go through. So I have to wait 24 hours to make sure its right. Get this fixed for next year or I'm off to ESPN!

There absolutely needs to be the ability to create a totally customized playoff format. Our league went to 14 teams this year and it created several issues with playoffs, due to the limited options that yahoo allows. It shouldn't be very hard to allow commissioners total control for playoff brackets, allowing byes where an odd number of teams enter or continue in the playoffs. Other sites have these options and yahoo needs to keep up. I know we're not the only ones who are a bit salty about this. We want to come back next year, but you need to pick up your game and fix it Yahoo!!!

We have two divisions of 5 and want to have the top 3 in each division in the playoffs not the overall top 6. This allows us and other leagues to be setup more like the NFL playoffs. This change would be a great enhancement for the site.

This is so important. This is our league's first year with Yahoo after 9 years at another site. We came her because of the mobile app. The inability to customize playoff spots is an absolute deal-breaker. We have a 10 team league where we allow the first 5 teams by record to advance but keep the 6th and final spot open to the total points leader of the bottom 5 teams (keeps most teams "in it" until the final week). The fact that I can't - as commissioner - go in and customize my match-ups is really a big miss on Yahoo's end.

Agreed the current tiebreaker rules don't make sense. Why should someone be rewarded for having 1 lucky week that puts them over the top. Especially if they lost a head to head matchup vs someone who is left out of the playoffs.

AGREED!! Get with it Yahoo! It can't be that difficult to allow a commissioner the ability to modify the playoff seedings. It's far more difficult to force people to go back and modify points than simply move a few teams around. Yahoo FFL is normally great, but I will use a different program next year due to this issue.

Agreed! Make this happen Yahoo! It can't be that difficult to allow commissioners the ability to modify the playoff seedings. It's far more difficult to force people to go back and modify points.

Two separate divisions should be able to have two separate playoff brackets. I loved the site all the way up to the point that I found out that wasn't possible. A real shame.

Can't believe this is not an option for commissioners. What is the relevance for having a head to head match up each week when in the end it plays no factor in whether you get into the playoffs or not.

AGREE!!! This is the biggest issue with Yahoo fantasy football. It drove one of my leagues to ESPN. There are multiple reasons why customizing playoffs is important. Two of the reasons: 1) We have custom rules in one league (where the final 2 playoff slots are determined by points, not records. 2) We would like to create a loser's bracket and customize it.
