Rosters/Lineups - Roster limits for positions.

This feature would allow commissioners to set the maximum and minimum number of players a team can roster at each position at a given time. For example, teams can have a maximum of 3 QBs on their roster or a team can have a minimum of 1 kicker. Currently there is no way to set the maximum or minimum number of players a team can roster at each position.

    I enjoy setting up 2 QB leagues. The only reason that I don't do it more often is because people can hoard QB's and mess up the rosters of others. Commissioners should have the option of limiting the number of players that you can draft per position in custom leagues.

    This is super useful in IDP leagues as well. Typically more bench spots because you have to fill out a defence as well as an offence. It would be great to have the option to appoint bench spots to either O or D. I dont care so much about the actual position, and having the option doesnt mean that leagues would have to use it. I for one would love to have this in my league (14 team keeper w IDP). The only option to control this now is to manually police it as commish (which sucks), use the honour rule (most owners are good about it) or to reduce the number of bench spots, which kinda sucks (we use 6 bench and 1 IR). I would be great to be able to have 4 Offensive bench and 2 Defensive bench spots. Just my two cents

    Yahoo needs to do this. I wouldn't change anything like this mid-season, but we have a yearly league that needs this at least for our 2021 season. We do 1QB and 1Superflex position. In the draft we have people drafting and hoarding 5-7 QB's. ESPN offers this level of customization, Yahoo needs to do something to try to keep up. You're falling WAY behind Yahoo!!!

    Allow us to max out players being drafted in our draft. I have a 2QB league for 8 teams. I want everyone maxed at 3.

    Your system defaults for mock and actual drafts fills the starting lineup positions first causing kickers and defenses to be selected too early and skewing draft results. Reposition these auto selections to later in the draft process.

    In an Autodraft, I'd like to be able to adjust the number of players picked in any one position. I do not want to draft 2 kickers, I'd rather draft 1 kicker and opt to get an extra WR or RB.

    BIG MUST HAVE!!! Too many people (the uneducated or nefarious ones) horde RBs during the season. Please ad feature. But allow Commissioners to set the limit.

    Must Have. Please give Commissioners this "Option". Position Limits is vital to help maintain draft integrity. Too many people quit a draft or play games and horde RBs. This must me a limit feature for draft day and throughout the entire season. --- Please add "Position Limits" feature that Commissioners can utilize at their own discretion.

    If they are hoarding QBs, then they are lacking subs at other positions.
    So, are you using 2QBs, but just 1 K & DEF ?
    That problem is easy to solve -- use 2 Ks & 2 DEFs.

    If Yahoo implements this rule
    and a commish changes to the rule after the draft,
    will I be allowed to drop the league?
    If not, then please don't allow this rule.

    I don't want to be in a league using this rule idea. During the draft, I want to have roster space to draft a promising QB who might become a starter during the season -- like Daniel Jones or Tannehill -- in addition to my QB sub.
    If Yahoo makes this idea an optional rule, then I want Yahoo to prevent a league's commish from adding the rule after the draft.

    Back up RBs are really really really valuable. I want to be able to keep a couple of them onhand. This rule sounds like you would be preventing me from using this wise choice. Why would you want to keep me from making a wise choice?

    Agreed. I run a 16 team league. I would like to limit teams to two QBs unless they can stash on the IR and Two team defenses.

    PLEASE! My league is 2 QB with 12 people. Need a limit of 3 QBs per roster. I have had to enforce this rule myself and have nearly gotten into 2 fights over it!

    My league is a 12 team league with 2 QBs. On weeks when there are byes, some teams are not able to get their hands on a QB becuase other teams are holding 4 of them. ESPN allowed me to put a cap on the number of roster spots available for QBs at 3. There is no such ability for a commissioner on Yahoo's site. This alone will force me to change back to Yahoo as I have had to manually enforce this rule with a huge amount of pushback. I need Yahoo to enable this setting.
