[Chat/Message Boards] Message Board Removal Feedback
Fantasy league message boards are no longer available but you can still access historical message board posts through your fantasy profile. Moving forward, we're investing in Fantasy Chat as the place for league communication and urge you to check out some of the recent improvements we've made like adding threading and pinning with polls coming soon.

Please bring back the message boards! That was the best way for our league to communicate to get input and make decisions as a group. Chat is no good. People need to be able to respond in their own time. The message board was perfect for this. Why would you take something away??? You can add and/or make chat better, but why delete a feature that we want!?!?

Bring back the fantasy message board! That was the best part of the whole thing!

The message board was critical, stuff like this is why everyone is going to Sleeper.

I used the message board a lot for fantasy football. It was a good source to post important league messages when the other owners would not read emails that I would send. It was a very useful reference tool.

BRING THE MESSAGE BOARDS BACK...STOP SCREWING EVERYTHING UP!

I think I speak for millions when I say getting rid of league message boards for fantasy football is a terrible idea. Chat will not be as useful for those of us that use message boards in the preseason and drafting purposes. Very unhappy with this decision

Chat threading doesn't allow for a thread subject.
> I can go back years to refer to prior posts
I have also referred to prior year votes or posts, several times over the years. This is going to be impossible if there are no headings or separate pages.

I have been running leagues on Yahoo for right at 15 years. Commissioners need the ability to conduct private communications with managers and the chat room is not conducive to that effort.
BRING BACK THE MESSAGE BOARD or we will look very seriously at going elsewhere.... THIS SEASON. However, it has been my past experience with Yahoo in that you really do not give a **** what we think

The three leagues that we have been running here for decades are leaving because we need the message boards to operate. Baseball already is failing due to the lack of boards. This was the worst decision Yahoo Fantasy ever made by a long shot.

Message Board was used a lot in the leagues I have had in Yahoo. This will be the 20th + year. I will try it but it maybe the last. A lot of people don't like change. I guess we will find out after 20 + years if we need to make a change. I'm also in 2 other Yahoo Football leagues. It should've been a option / setting we could of chose from.

You also took away the commissioners corner previously. That was a great tool. This is why people continue to leave yahoo for other fantasy networks. I will end up doing that myself if the message boards are not brought back

My message boards are critical for slow drafts in dynasty leagues. That way every league member can effectively communicate during the draft and throughout the season. Managers can easily see posts from league managers and can see any votes on proposed changes to the league. Everything is in one place.

Chat sucks. Bring back message boards. The commissioner needs a forum to relay league rules to the managers.

Here are some ideas I think will be very helpful for myself and maybe some others out there as well. Some of these ideas may be wishful thinking but this is how I would do the chat if it were me:
1. Embed the chat onto the league homepage and in the tool bar on the app where message boards once was on each league page.
2. Each chat should be specific to each league and not to the entirety of all of your yahoo leagues
3. Inside the chat should be a split section on the left where you can create chat threads. Commissioners can set up multiple threads for Trades, General Chat, League Changes, Polls, etc and can be added by commissioners or managers as needed.
4. Inside each thread, have the ability to pin important messages to the top of the chat in a way so it doesn't clutter the chat area.
5. In the same box as the threads but under have the list of all the managers in the league and by clicking takes you to a private message with that manager. Basically, already built in threads.
6. Have a green dot or equivalent next to a managers name if they are currently online either via the web or app.
7. Have the ability to upload files, videos and embed links; I know for my leagues specifically, I have a record book that I produce through a spreadsheet so I need to be able to pin the link to a thread so managers can access it. Also, the best leagues have great comradery. Being able to upload our own smack talk reels, pictures, and created videos to threads will give the yahoo site a more connected feel that a lot of managers are looking for.I'll post again if I think of any other ideas that would help

The message boards are essential for our league to post information such as weekly high scorer, an updated list of who has paid dues, directions for our draft, etc. A chat function serves a different purpose and does not replace this core function. Our league experience will just be worse without the board.

Hi,
For some reason there are players who can not access league chats, we have to have a way to email the league either by way of a message board or email unless I'm missing something. Thanks.

Bring back the message boards. It kept all the league info and communication in one easy-to-use place.

Message boards were taken away in baseball leagues. Customers left thousands of comments asking for message boards to be reinstated. Didn't make a difference. Yahoo is not going to bring them back.

The message board was the primary means to discuss changes in rules, take votes, etc.
Chat is not a replacement. Please please please bring back the message boards.
Who thought this was a good idea?? -

Our league used the message board in a few different ways that I’m not sure the fantasy chat is designed to host
1) we used it to log votes for different changes.
2) it was a convenient place if only for the posterity of the data. I can go back years to refer to prior posts
3) the message board was comprised of defined different conversations where as the fantasy chat is basically a stream of consciousness for the league mixed with player movement
