Creation of doubleheaders. I've asked you guys for the last 5 or 6 years to have double headers to allow for us to play a full season.
You allow a 2nd opponent now but it's limited to a random team being picked for the 2nd opponent. My suggest will create a balanced schedule just like the NFL does. I play primarily in 12 team leagues, with 2 division of 6 teams each. We play everyone in our division twice, just as they do in the NFL and we then play each of the 6 teams in the other division once. Yahoo normally has the division opponents playing each other twice but then you only play 4 of the 6 teams in the other division. That sucks, why don't you implement double headers.
It's easy, I've been using them for the past 6+ seasons. The doubleheaders will take place on weeks 4 & 13 this year. That's the week before bye weeks start and the week of Thanksgiving where there are no bye's. This allows for a balanced schedule, everyone in each division plays the same opponents and it eliminates any teams from having an advantage by not playing a certain team. Under my suggestion there will be no advantages to any team. I already have it worked out when the league decides to move to an 18-game schedule, you know it's only a matter of time before we go to an 18-game schedule.
The reason that the NFL has exploded in popularity is because of fantasy football, so you really should do everything in your power to keep the fantasy fans happy.
I am more than happy to help walk your technician's through this and how to implement it into your leagues. If you were to offer double headers, you would blow all the other sites out of the water. If they come up with doubleheaders before you do, well you'll be able to watch your memberships in FF dwindle away. Afterall, the reason we play this game is for the thrill of victory and the more you play the more you enjoy it. That's why I play just to have fun and who wouldn't like to have MORE fun, by offering to play doubleheaders. Don't try to tell me that it's too hard to implement, we put men on the moon and had them return to earth all while using the same spacecraft. So, you can surlily install doubleheaders, it's not rocket science for God's sake. My guys have loved it, the only downside is that I have to do everything by hand after week 4.
I've been a loyal follower of Yahoo fantasy sports for 20 years now but if someone else comes up with offering doubleheaders before you do, well I'll be moving all of my leagues. I play anywhere from 4 leagues up to 24 leagues, Depending on my wife's tolerance of my addition from year to year.
