I HATE this (yahoo) mail with a passion... no matter WHAT I do EVERYTIME I have to get a key in order to sign in. WHAT DO YOU NOT UNDERSTAN
STOP ASKING ME TO GET A KEY EVERYTIME I WANT TO CHECK MY EMAILS ....ENOUGH JUST STOP...I HATE THIS (YAHOO) MAIL. WHY DO I NEED TO SIGNIN EVERY TIME . I have asked to remain signed in (as it's MY computer) RECOGNIZE ME ALREADY & STOP insisting I "get a key" to sign in

Please ASK before you demand to use a phone number for 2 step authorization.
I choose not to have my phone and email connected in any way.
I have had this email account for 18 years and have never had any problems until Yahoo decided to force me to use a 2 step authorization. I see this as a serious invasion of my privacy. By making a setting where when i open mail it always opens in English.
Because I live in Lebanon my computer always automatically opens Yahoo in Arabic. I would like there to be a setting when I open Yahoo it always opens to English and not Arabic.

Problems signing in
Please fix the way your web-based email system deals with Linux.
It refuses to remembed my Linux PC, and it frequently tells me that I can't sign in and that I should try to sign in on "another device." -
can't scroll
I'm on a Mac. Trying revert to the classic mode, because I can't erase suggested email addresses from the "to" field. Holy moly guys...you make it really tough because scrolling isn't available in the settings. Soooo...you make me zoom out of my page to view more of the page?!

I have many complaints about this new system but the mains ones are # of messages in the folders and the timezone problem.
why am I getting a time zone alert??? I have not moved to a new time zone. And even when I fix it, when I sign in again (even on the same day), I get the alert again. Very annoying.
I understand that some emails will go to spam that should not but there used to be a number on the spam and folder I created that would flag me to look. I have missed a few important emails because this is now gone.

Auto Forward Emails
I am just wondering when/IF the feature to mark automatically forwarded emails as “Read” or delete them will be coming back? Not sure what happened to it but would appreciate it if that feature was added back to the user interface.

Length of time for keeping emails in In Box
I keep certain emails in my In Box that I prefer to keep for more than 6 months and they disappear. I cannot find them. Only one month at time will be retained in my In Box for some reason. I want the option to choose how long to remain in IN BOX.

Emails will not disappear as long as the account is active.
If you are noticing that emails are being deleted this could be due to how the account is being accessed outside of yahoo.com or the Yahoo App.
We see this when a 3rd party email client such as Outlook or a stock mobile app is being used.

it totally sucks - all my mail is going to archive folder - yahoo is bouncing my emails back that don't go into archive
where are my mail options? all my email keeps going to archive or gets bounced and new mail has no mail options button to click any more. Under preferences - only thing available is location. WTH

Settings Out-Of-Date?
I use Yahoo email across several devices and I must say, Yahoo email is the least dependable of the email systems I use. I cannot reliable access due to settings being "out-of-date". I supposedly fix them but, still no mail. What a PITA! Time to move away from Yahoo!!!

revert
It is not possible to revert if your screen resolution is not great enough. For some reason the "Classic" option in the settings menu does not appear. I tried setting my laptop into portrait mode and clicked on settings and the "revert to classic" was available.
Horrible, just horrible.

maybe you could optimize the frigging site.
not everybody has blazing fast internet to counter your bloated server generated html. i live in a VERY rural area, the only internet available is VERY slow AND expensive. it takes SEVERAL minutes for me to load any page in yahoo mail and the basic version doesn't have enough settings for me to use it.

Users must be able to view email address rather than display names
Provide option for users to view email address of sender and not display names. This way it will be very easy for us to identify sender as most spamsters mask their email address and display fake names. This will reduce the number of phishing attacks as most users will be able to identify the sender or atleast the domain names and avoid opening emails and clicking on email contents from unknown senders. It will take much less time to identify senders instead of hovering the mouse over their display names.
