WHAT'S NEW?
Search by Sender - Just hover over the sender's profile image and a spyglass icon will appear where you can search all emails by that sender.
Multi-Tasking Tabs - Like before, open an email in a new tab.
AI Summaries - Ability to disable. Go to Settings > AI Features > Toggle Off
Number of Total Messages - Hover over the Inbox Icon and you will see both total number of messages and unread.
Sender's Email Address - You don't have to open the message to see the sender's email address. Just hover over the sender's name from your Inbox.

Differentiate Unread v. Read - Better ways to see the difference.
Resize Images - Resize an image within the message.
Inbox Categories - Default to "All" category instead of always Priority.
Right Hand Column - Ability to minimize: Contacts, Starred, More (Currently for Yahoo Mail Plus subscribers)


TIPS:
Inbox Categories - You can go back to having just ONE Inbox. Go to Settings > Personalize Inbox.
Keep Folders Expanded - First expand left hand column by hovering on Inbox edge until you see Double Arrows. Then a drop down will show up next to Folders.
Bulk Delete - Click on a checkbox from your Inbox and a new checkbox will appear at the top. From there you can Select All and Delete All.
Sender's Email Address - You don't have to open the message to see the sender's email address. Just hover over the sender's name from your Inbox.
Dark Mode - Go to Settings > Appearance.

  1. Restore Desktop‑Optimized Design Instead of smartphone/ Mobile Style

    I prefer the desktop-style Yahoo Mail
    for use on a personal computer or MacBook.
    The older layout was far more practical
    for desktop users because it supported:

    • List layout
    • Multiple tabs for multitasking
    • dynamic message content

    The left‑side navigation in the old version was clean, p
    redictable, and easy to use.
    It followed this order:

    • Inbox
    • Unread
    • Starred
    • Drafts
    • Sent
    • Archive
    • Spam

    - Deleted Items

    • Photos
    • Documents
    • Subscriptions
    • Travel
    • Folders

    The New Yahoo Mail interface looks like a
    Smart MOBILE PHONE Lay-out, which
    does NOT make sense for desktop users.

  2. For spam box, have a "delete all" option

    In the old yahoo mail, I could click on the bin icon next to SPAM, and it would delete all the spam messages at once. In the new version of mail just released, it has been removed, so I need to manually select and add them all in.
    It would be great if we could delete all the spam messages (after checking the spam box) with one click like before.

  5. Don't send ads to my email inbox, particularly about 'singles' hooking up!

    Stop sending me ads to my inbox. I tried fixing it through your privacy and personalisation suggestions but it kept sending me the 'oops! something went wrong' message, so that didn't' work.

  6. Default text size and style

    Please! I set my default email composition size and font, and it does not work! This is a good typing example - too small to read comfortably! It always defaults to this size and style! I want bigger type!

  8. Collapsable Side Bar

    Please make the Starred/Contacts/Calendar/Notepad area a sidebar that can be collapsed. The current implementation takes up too much valuable space in the browser window.

  9. Give me themes!

    I really loved the ability to do a bit of customization of the colours for old Yahoo. I really miss this and is probably the reason I am reluctant to use the new format. Why only black and white??? Yahoo, you use to be so fun

  10. Password can be whatever I want it to be

    I changed my password to whatever the **** I wanted it to be by changing my password 5 times in a row. It was telling me that I could not change my password to an old or similar password. So, I found a work around. Go **** yourself Yahoo. Also, I could not contact customer support.. Again, go **** yourself. sincerely, GO **** YOURSELF.

  11. Different colour for unopened mail highlight.

    Using the dark theme the light grey highlight of new unopened mail doesn't stand out well . Maybe a blue would be better?

  13. I don't like the new style layout of the app.. its just very hard to see what messages are read or not!

    The new app layout for mail looks quite nice in some ways but I find the decision to have read/unread messages use a background colour change very ugly and not intuitive..

    Please can you go back to or an add an option for unchanging background between messages and use the weight and colour of the font like you do elsewhere to denote read messages

    white theme: black bold font = unread; grey = read
    dark theme: pure white bold font = unread; grey = read

  14. New YahooMail visual look

    The visual look of new Yahoo mail is an average. The problem is that in light theme, the emails list is somehow so "big". And in black theme, please add an option that despite the whole theme is black/dark, the email content stays white.

  17. Minimer afstand mellem mails i indbakken

    Det mest irriterende ved den nye visning er at der er for meget plads mellem de enkelte mails, så listen bliver trukket meget ud = man kan se meget få mails ad gangen. Mellemrummet kan snildt sættes til det halve, så man kan se flere mails på listen ad gangen.

  20. You don't seem to offer the chance of recovering deleted items
