How do I compose a letter?
Before things were "improved," composing a letter was very simple - you clicked on "Compose." Now that is gone. So what do I do in order to send someone an email?

Tab to body of email
This was my complaint in your previous so called updates. When you move from the Subject line to the body of the email you cannot tab within the email. Tabbing takes through all the options which makes absolutely no sense.

Restore middle-click (open in new browser tab) functionality
The new Yahoo Mail interface has broken the core web functionality of opening emails in a new browser tab via a central mouse click (middle-click / scroll wheel click).
Because the new interface forces single-page application (SPA) internal tabs instead of using standard HTML links, the browser no longer recognizes emails as links. This is a massive downgrade in usability and heavily hurts productivity for desktop users who need to multi-task by opening multiple emails in separate browser tabs.

images added to emails
thanks for suggesting the drag and drop, which works but it a horrible substitute for the earlier option. to select 'add image' and open the computer files and type in 'cacique' (a bird) then open the folder that might have 40 images spread through that month --- it is easy to add as an attachment, but takes forever to select one, and then the drop down often covers the part of the body of the email where the image should go... then to scroll to the right part, you have to x off the 'find image' and do it again…

Hover over your address in an email in your mailbox and click on "Add to contacts". Create a saved contact for your own address and edit the name that appears so it's correct.

Lost my email text when I switched to Plain Text
I just wrote an email and wanted to switch to Plain Text and all the text disappeared so I am forced to recreate the email. Please fix this problem!

What happened to the option to move photos from the email to the bottom?
I need to move photos that are embedded in an email I am composing, to the bottom. I used to be able to hover over it and pick "move to bottom". Please return this ASAP!!!

the ability to make a picture smaller or larger after copied
In the previous version of mail I had the ability to make a picture smaller or larger after I copied the picture into the email. Also, I could select the picture and remove it from the email after it was copied into the email.
These functions are no longer available in the new mail version. This ability was VERY USEFUL, and I believe it should be added back to the new version of mail.72nd ranked -
Bug with CTRL-Enter shortcut and subject line
The new UI has a bug when typing the subject. If I type letters on the subject line and IMMEDIATELY hit CTRL-ENTER to send the email, it will send it with no subject at all. I have to do something else before hitting CTRL-ENTER to get it to take. Either click the mouse in the body or if I click "Send".. This is a bug. The previous UI didn't do this. This is on Chrome on Windows. (didn't test it elsewhere)

email contacts improvement
when i start to type a previously used email address while composing a new email, yahoo mail will auto correct that email to a contact name. in multiple instances this auto generated contact name is incorrect. there needs to be a new contacts icon where auto generated contacts can be found and edited easily and quickly. after using ai and digging through many sub menus im still not finding the correct place to edit the auto generated email contact names.

Restore old contacts!
Restore all the contacts that I had in the old form. I cannot email family members now because this new form has lost several of those contacts. This is inexcusable.

Photos In Body Of Email
I have noticed that when inserting photos in the body of an email that there is no longer any way to remove them once inserted. There also is no longer a choice of making them large or small. These options were available in the old version of Yahoo Mail. Not having them any longer is very inconvenient. If a mistake is made when inserting a photo, I have to discard the draft and start all over again. Please add this feature back to the new Yahoo Mail. Thank you.

I need to be able to see WHICH email I am sending in the TO section. Some contact names have multiple email addresses that have been used.
Removing the visible email address in the To field impacts my ability to safely verify recipients.
Please fix this defect ASAP!! It is only in the NEW version & now I can't go back to the basic original version any more. BOO!!72nd ranked -
Email this list button does NOT work. Tried several days since new format.
Please fix this issue. I have to copy and paste a lot of emails daily since this function isn't working properly. Had no problem till you made this new format.

Email List button - fix
I was switched over to the new yahoo mail and am finding that when I
am sending email using an "email list" the button stating "email this list" is not loading
the email address in the address line...
The chatbot told me to type in the name of the list - which worked but why is this not working?
This "new yahoo" has been out for a long time - I went back to the old system because I did not like

Fatal Error: Emailing from lists is not functional
I've tried several times to email to a list saved in contacts (before the upgrade). What am I doing wrong?
I open a new email. Select the list from contacts. (made sure the cursor was in TO field and click the Email this List button, but the TO field (or the CC or BCC fields do not get populated.

Attaching a document repositions the screen to an unusable position
When attaching a document to an email, after the selection popup closes, the entire window reformats such that 90% of the emails and menus are above the top of the screen and cannot be scrolled into view. only the very bottom of the email body window, the attach/send/save draft controls, and the very bottom of the folder tree is visible in the top 10% of the pane. It is not scrollable, so there is no way to bring it into view. The only fix is refreshing the tab and re-opening the draft email.

Get the lists working agin
The lists are showing but when you click on "Email this List" button, the emails do not get put in the email, just an empty email is provided.

How many contacts are in your list, and whether this happens every time or only sometimes?

Sending Videos
When I send a video of mine from Vimeo- I always got a Thumbprint ID so I knew the video I was sending was correct. With the NEW email I don't get that Thumbprint confirmation. I always wonder if the correct video I'm sending IS correct? You might want to re-add that feature on the NEW email. Other than that aspect it's ok.
