Unfortunately, you cannot revert back. We are only making the new one better. We know change is frustrating and hard but we really hope you'll give the new layout a fair chance.



WHAT'S NEW:
Calendar - We moved it from under "More" on the right hand side to it's own icon. Still on the right hand side, but it's now the first icon next to Starred and Contacts.

TIPS:
Disable Inbox Categories (All, Primary, etc) - You can go back to having just ONE Inbox. Go to Settings > Inbox Categories.
Keep Folders Expanded - First expand left hand column by hovering on Inbox edge until you see Double Arrows. Then a drop down will show up next to Folders.
Bulk Delete - Click on a checkbox from your Inbox and a new checkbox will appear at the top. From there you can Select All and Delete All.
Sender's Email Address - You don't have to open the message to see the sender's email address. Just hover over the sender's name from your Inbox.
Sort By Sender - This is still a sorting option, but you must disable Conversation view under your Settings. Then you will see "Sender name"
Disable AI Summaries - Go to Settings > AI features > Toggle Off
Unread Count - You can hover over "Inbox" to see the Unread count or you can expand the left hand column and Unread will be in the column below Inbox with the unread count. No hovering.

    Please restore my old format of the Yahoo Mail.Please restore the colors, design and everything as it was. I can't distinguish between new mails and ads, there's no structure, everyuthing seems just a bunch of mixed trash in an Inbox. UGLY UGLY UGLY and worst of all, confusing and non funcional.   2. NEW EMAIL AND UNREAD IN DARK MODE HARD TO DIFFERENTIATE

    In the new version of Yahoo Mail, any read and unread messages in dark mode are so hard to differentiate. It was better in the older version.

  3. My Ideas...

    My first Idea would be to bring back "My Yahoo" along with the classic email or just let us switch back to what we had. My second idea would be to increase the font size-the font is way too small now. and add the option of either the blue/light blue background and the pink/purple backgrounds. My last idea is to make this optional. Do not force this on others. Let others go back to the other email setting they liked. Everyone is not interested in AI.   4. worst email app change ever

    Go back to the old themes I can not find a email from 10 days ago since YOU decided it was not it in priority grouping. I click "all" and once I LOOK AT SOMETHING AND CLICK ON MY INBOX AND IT DEFAULTS TO PRIORITY. You created more clicks for the sake of add revenue. Stop It......

  5. Bring Back Colour Options

    The new yahoo mail update, when viewed on a computer, only offers light mode and dark mode (no more colour customizations like previously). Either option is unpleasant to view. When the toolbar/top bar are the same colour as the emails, it just looks like a giant white (or black) page filled with a bunch of text. Visually very disorganized/cluttered feel. Bringing back colours (or even the option to make the toolbar/top bar black and the emails white, for example) would visually make a huge difference.   8. Bring back themes or color options for the mailbox view on a desktop browser

    Please bring back themes, or some option to select a different color pallet that dark or light. Both are too extreme and I need something more in the middle. Gray or the ability to choose my own colors would be much more helpful. This is the main reason I never switched to the new layout when I had the choice. I DO NOT appreciate being forced to use the new layout.

  9. Make the new Yahoo Mail more compact

    Make the new Yahoo Mail more compact, the text is too large and too many graphics I cannot move, please let me have smaller fonts and hide the boxes on the right, started messages I don't need another box showing me that.

  10. Needs a condensed layout.

    I hate the new compared to the original - there is far too much White, dead space, everything is over-spaced. It just makes more work, more page turns, more scrolling.
    It was fine as it was! Please make a condensed theme, it can still be very readable if you make use of dividers and backing/text colour. I know its 'trendy' but the minimalist spaced look is just annoying.

  12. different layout

    I really dislike the new design. I'd love to have options to pick different colour layout or themes. I don't understand why the only option about the appearance is dark or light mode. The old yahoo mail had at least different colours to choose from. When you upgraded there should be more options not less. Other mail providers have much more and much better options about the appearance.

  14. Pleas for desktop color themes to return

    The help chat bot suggested the following. I use Yahoo on desktop only. I REALLY want the color themes back :(

    In Yahoo Mail on a desktop browser, the current Appearance choices are Light, Dark, or Automatic, rather than the older color-theme options.

    Dark view does not show all of the text on some of my saved drafts.
    Had to go back to Light view to see the rest of the text.

  20. Enable users to select colors of the New Yahoo Mail

    Enable users to select colors used by the New Yahoo Mail (if not all users, then at least those who subscribe to Yahoo Mail Plus).

    (I looked for this feature under "Appearance" in "Settings", and did not find it.)
