Please get the message preview off of the subject lines
I've got the message preview turned OFF, but nevertheless, the first sentence of each email is appearing along with the subject line in my inbox, which is a privacy issue, because anyone glancing over my shoulder can see some of the content of every single email. Please make the inbox system obey the control that is already set in the settings area, to eliminate the previews, thank you!

Colors
Please restore my old format of the Yahoo Mail.Please restore the colors, design and everything as it was. I can't distinguish between new mails and ads, there's no structure, everyuthing seems just a bunch of mixed trash in an Inbox. UGLY UGLY UGLY and worst of all, confusing and non funcional. Spam filter
I wish the Yahoo mail spam filter was better.
I appreciate the filtering that is working. I don't need to buy the next new thing or get tax relief. That part works great.
However, there seems to be a problem when the spam emails that have spaces or special characters in the From field. These go to my Inbox. I don't get much mail in this account, but I keep it open for some important emails. When I get a message saying there are messages in my Inbox, I am disappointed when those emails are this type of spam.

Text not showing up in some emails.
Some emails show up with no text visible in the body of the email. I know there is text there because when I hit forward or reply the text shows up. Just not when it is viewed in the inbox. This has happened with an email from a friend and an email I sent to a group that came to me as part of the group. The "permanent" information like my name which I set up to always show up is there but the new text I wrote didn't show up.

Blocking Mail By Name instead of by address
Why can't we block mail by the senders name, instead of by their address? I keep getting ***** e-mail from 'Tanner Campbell'. I block them, and mark them as SPAM, but they keep changing their address, so I keep getting ***** mail from them. How do I block them by 'NAME'?

The new yahoo mail screening is challengings for me to use. I am missing emails as I have to change the setting at the top from primary to seein all of my emails. If I do not chane from primary email, i miss emails that are under all. I alos have difficulty with deleting the emails as the old email had a drop box section where i could delete my emails. I would like for the old email to return.

Remove challenges and only show the subject line!
Hate the new look. I do not want to see a summery of my message, only the subject line. I can not figure out how to turn that feature off. Plus i do not want challenges popping up when i just want to use my email. Its not a game, its a business tool for me...

Provide an avenue for help when yahoo mail stops working correctly
I have been a user of Yahoo mail since the 1990s and it has always been my primary email. When an issue occurred in July 2026 I systematically searched google for possible fixes and wen they did not work used guidance in system security, including removing all filters and devices, changing passwords multiple times and even deleted and reinstalled app and switched back to mail basic in an attempt to fix. All these things with no luck. new continues to go directly to trash. I searched Yahoo Help but found no solution. As a last resort I tried Help but…

Sort by sender name NOT working in the Primary Inbox
whenever i click sort by sender name in the Primary tab of inbox, it does not sort the emails. but when i click the ALL tab, the same sort by sender name is perfectly sorted. Whenever i click INBOX, it shows primary tab by default. can you make the ALL by default or if not, then at least make sorting by sender name work in the primary inbox tab. Thank you. Amir

Change width of the left hand pane
Allow user to widen the viewable area of the left hand panel so full name or at least more of the name of a folder is visible.

multiple emails listed at top
PLEASE put the multiple emails list back at the top! Its now way at the bottom and only shows one. I prefer the "at a glance" ability to see all my 5 emails inbox at once. This is an absolute necessity for me.
Also having the starred items on the right is a HUGE distraction. Many of my starred items are in folders so i can easily see them when opening that folder. I resent Yahoo deciding what to highlight for me on the right. I do NOT choose to highlight starred items I prefer the classic layout.

Settings to minimize navigation panes
Settings should include options to minimize left hand side and right hand side navigation panes. Right now, every time I login, I have to minimize both side navigation panes manually.
