TIPS:
Disable Inbox Categories (All, Primary, etc) - You can go back to having just ONE Inbox. Go to Settings > Inbox Categories.
Keep Folders Expanded - First expand left hand column by hovering on Inbox edge until you see Double Arrows. Then a drop down will show up next to Folders.
Bulk Delete - Click on a checkbox from your Inbox and a new checkbox will appear at the top. From there you can Select All and Delete All.
Sender's Email Address - You don't have to open the message to see the sender's email address. Just hover over the sender's name from your Inbox.
Sort By Sender - This is still a sorting option, but you must disable Conversation view under your Settings. Then you will see "Sender name"
Disable AI Summaries - Go to Settings > AI features > Toggle Off

  1. Why can't I open email attachments on the mobile app after updating to the new version of Yahoo Mail?

    After updating to the latest version of the Yahoo Mail app on my iPhone, I can no longer open email attachments. It displays a notification saying: "UNABLE TO PREVIEW, UNABLE TO DOWNLOAD THIS ATTACHMENT, PLEASE TRY AGAIN." I have tried deleting and reinstalling the app, as well as logging out and logging back in numerous times; however, it only works briefly—showing the old interface and allowing me to open files—before switching to the new interface, at which point I can no longer open attachments.

  6. Restore the large-smaller option when adding a picture (not an attachment)

    Just RESTORE the picture option of larger - smaller...it worked just fine!!!
    The present format is regressive stupidity and takes us back to stupid times!
    I am not talking about the attachment pictures. Thank you.

  8. Please put me back to basic email

    I do not wish to use the new email format. Please let me know how to switch back to the basic email. The "new" is cluttered, not smooth to use, an absolute time waste to delete emails as you can only check a few at a time and then checked boxes clear out. Having the icon for each email is not helpful. I pay for the upgrade, I did not agree to change the format, and I will not continue to use this account if it is not switched back to the old (and MUCH better) format. Thank you, Larisa

  9. It has way too many clicks to do the same thing the old system did in one click

    How do I get back to the old system. This new one is very hard to use with lots more clicks to get where I want to go

  10. Stop messing with the format. It was fine the way it was. Important emails lost, thanks to your meddling with the format. STOP. Just STOP.

    Go back to previous version. If Windows can offer that, certainly Yahoo can.

    As above!!! How do I move emails to folders now??? I'm thinking of deleting my yahoo account. It's become completely user-unfriendly!!!

  16. Quit changing everything.

    Leave yahoo mail the way it is. Been using it for years and do not need it to change. Please remove the stupid "streak" thing that someone thought was a good idea. Thank you.

  17. stuck tooltips

    Hi the Mail Plus web client has but where pop-up tooltips do not disappear and remain "stuck" on the screen.
    When I mouse over folders in the left column, sometimes the tooltip doesn't disappear so I have leftover tips on my screen.

  19. put search on the right AFTER reading the thing to search for

    The /n ( https://mail.yahoo.com/n ) new Yahoo email presentation on 2026-08-27 shows email sender with the serch on the left, this is counter intuitive, we read left-to-right, so I will read the sender's name first, then, moving to the right, I expect to control what I just read and comprehended. To go back to the left to find and click the search is backwards, literally, and the mouse then obscrurs the name of the person I might be looking to search for, so I have to move the mouse away, conrirm I'm on the right line, then move the mouse…

  20. scaling to fit

    Hello. Sadly, I do not like the new layout, primarily because it doesn't fit my 17" HP laptop screen anymore. I don't know if scaling is adjustable, but the header on the inbox is so tall, I cannot see enough mails in the list at once, NOR can I read more than a single line of an open mail without trying to scroll down to see it -- and the scroll on this machine is too fast to be that precise. I don't have the time or knowledge to change any of this. PLEASE let me "go back"!
