WHAT'S NEW?
Search by Sender - Just hover over the sender's profile image and a spyglass icon will appear where you can search all emails by that sender.
Multi-Tasking Tabs - Like before, open an email in a new tab.
AI Summaries - Ability to disable. Go to Settings > AI Features > Toggle Off
Number of Total Messages - Hover over the Inbox Icon and you will see both total number of messages and unread.
Sender's Email Address - You don't have to open the message to see the sender's email address. Just hover over the sender's name from your Inbox.

Differentiate Unread v. Read - Better ways to see the difference.
Resize Images - Resize an image within the message.
Inbox Categories - Default to "All" category instead of always Priority.
Right Hand Column - Ability to minimize: Contacts, Starred, More (Currently for Yahoo Mail Plus subscribers)


TIPS:
Inbox Categories - You can go back to having just ONE Inbox. Go to Settings > Personalize Inbox.
Keep Folders Expanded - First expand left hand column by hovering on Inbox edge until you see Double Arrows. Then a drop down will show up next to Folders.
Bulk Delete - Click on a checkbox from your Inbox and a new checkbox will appear at the top. From there you can Select All and Delete All.
Sender's Email Address - You don't have to open the message to see the sender's email address. Just hover over the sender's name from your Inbox.
Dark Mode - Go to Settings > Appearance.

  1. give more control in settings

    The settings make the entire screen go either dark or all white. I want the email box to be white so I can read colored fonts, while darkening the rest of the screen (e.g., side panels) to reduce glare and eyestrain.
    Also, thumbnails no longer appear with links, and I can't control the size of images anymore. Bring those features back, too.

  2. OTP not receiving

    I have an account on NPS NSDL website and its linked with my yahoo email id, i tried many times but the OTP is not receiving, not even the OTP receiving in any other folder also like spam and etc. Please fix the said matter.

  4. Unable to save changes made to the inbox or any folder for that matter.

    No changes are saved. Also the refresh takes infinite time to complete. This does not really help

  8. DO NOT CHANGE EMAIL!!!!

    Look, everyone is going to super rounded, super-childish email platforms. It's yucky, and I tried yours, it's not good, Horrible experience. Please don't change yahoo mail. I've had my email address for 25 years. Please don't make me have to change it after all this time to something that has left their email alone from all this childish stuff.

  13. Colors for email

    The color of unselected emails in the All or Primary screens is now grey. Why is this? They should be black, and when selected, they should turn grey (or a specified color).

    I have an idea. Why don't you allow the custormer to choose the colors? Create a menu selection that opens a color table and choices for particular functions or areas of the screen. Let the customer choose what happens when something is chosen or clicked.

  14. Issue when deleting email drafts

    I've noticed since last year that when a draft is deleted and that draft is part of a chain of email exchanges, everything related to that chain of emails is also deleted, from Inbox, from Sent, etc. The only option is to send a recovery request, but that doesn't work every time. It would be very important not to delete and lose everything when deleting a draft. Thank you!

  15. Fix Message Preview Bug

    As of February 6, 2026, the message preview feature is not working as intended. Whether the feature is toggled on or off, a preview of every email is visible when the inbox is displayed. When do you expect the message preview feature to work properly?

  16. YNotes partial search does not work

    Can Notes / calendar be integrated into YMail? in Ymail app also. is it a security issue? secret notes get compromised when YMAIL gets in wrong hands?

    YNotes partial search does not work. For example if notes contains "YMail" and when I search for mail, it does not give any results. On the notes search, Need to have option for whole word search or partial search across all notes.

  17. Increase vertical space in email reading pane

    Today's emails are more tailored for mobile screens. Often email has less width but more length. Yahoo's email reading pan almost starts from bottom half of the screen hence one need to scroll more to view whole email. It would be great if length of reading window can be increased.
