Unfortunately, you cannot revert back. We are only making the new one better. We know change is frustrating and hard but we really hope you'll give the new layout a fair chance.


WHAT'S NEW:
Calendar - We moved it from under "More" on the right hand side to it's own icon. Still on the right hand side, but it's now the first icon next to Starred and Contacts.

TIPS:
Disable Inbox Categories (All, Primary, etc) - You can go back to having just ONE Inbox. Go to Settings > Inbox Categories.
Keep Folders Expanded - First expand left hand column by hovering on Inbox edge until you see Double Arrows. Then a drop down will show up next to Folders.
Bulk Delete - Click on a checkbox from your Inbox and a new checkbox will appear at the top. From there you can Select All and Delete All.
Sender's Email Address - You don't have to open the message to see the sender's email address. Just hover over the sender's name from your Inbox.
Sort By Sender - This is still a sorting option, but you must disable Conversation view under your Settings. Then you will see "Sender name"
Disable AI Summaries - Go to Settings > AI features > Toggle Off

  1. LIST OF FOLDERS

    I WANT TO BE ABLE TO SEE ALL MY FOLDER CHOICES, NOT JUST THE ICON TO ACCESS THEM!!!! STOP MESSING WITH WHAT WORKS FOR PEOPLE. I ABSOLUTELY HATE THE NEW CHANGE AND I DID THE OTHER ONE. STOP MESSIGN WITH WHAT WORKS!!!!!!!!!!

  3. Restore middle-click (open in new browser tab) functionality

    The new Yahoo Mail interface has broken the core web functionality of opening emails in a new browser tab via a central mouse click (middle-click / scroll wheel click).
    Because the new interface forces single-page application (SPA) internal tabs instead of using standard HTML links, the browser no longer recognizes emails as links. This is a massive downgrade in usability and heavily hurts productivity for desktop users who need to multi-task by opening multiple emails in separate browser tabs.

  4. Turn off icon/images in inbox

    Icons/user images in the inbox are useless clutter and I want to get the eff rid of it.

  5. Full screen setting for Yahoo Mail

    The new email viewing options are unnacceptable. Message list is too crowded width wise because of a wasted block of space on right side of screen that cannot be hidden or undocked. Therefore messages in the list are truncated, Upon opening a message, the same wasted space on right side prevents viewing the entire message without viewing. I will not use this new user interface unless Yahoo allows for a setting to close the wasted block of space. I need full screen viewing of my message list as well as any message that I open.

  9. images added to emails

    thanks for suggesting the drag and drop, which works but it a horrible substitute for the earlier option. to select 'add image' and open the computer files and type in 'cacique' (a bird) then open the folder that might have 40 images spread through that month --- it is easy to add as an attachment, but takes forever to select one, and then the drop down often covers the part of the body of the email where the image should go... then to scroll to the right part, you have to x off the 'find image' and do it again…

    Please offer a view of the inbox where the lines are more condensed. I'll move back to old view until that is ready. Thanks.

    23 yıldan beri epostalar için yahoo'yu kullanıyorum Mail kutusunun yeni görünümünü hiç beğenmedim. Bunu tercih edenler olabilir. Ben e postaları eskisi gibi bir ekranda görmek istiyorum. Bunu sağlamayacaksanız yahoo'yu bir daha kullanmayacağım

  14. highlighted viewed email fields

    I feel like I prefer having highlighted email fields for the "read emails" rather than just bold text for unread emails... At least have such option in Settings/customization

  16. Add delete filter option

    In the filter tab, you can add and edit filters, but delete is not an option in the new yahoo mail. Please add this. Thanks.

  17. Inbox / Emails

    In dark mode, it's really hard to distinguish what is unread and what has been read. I see the little dot, and the text is bold for unread emails, but still pretty hard to see what's unread and read. It would be nice if the row for a new email was maybe a little different shade if a mail is unread versus read.

  18. Stop "improving" the look.

    Stop following in the MS foot steps - constantly changing the way that the layout looks. People have shown time and again that they do not like these "new and improved" layouts. I am comfortable with the original layout and the new one is VERY disorienting and difficult to navigate.

  19. Old view vs. New

    I hate how you decided what features were kept and which are still available. I can't find where the emails are broken down by day anymore. I need that feature. Also, don't assume I want to be on what you think is a priority email. You don't have to be like GMail. That's why I still use Yahoo. If you muck it up like GMail then I'll have to look for another email source. I've been with you for over 20 years. I would even love the idea to have it look like the old email system setup.
