Unfortunately, you cannot revert back. We are only making the new one better. We know change is frustrating and hard but we really hope you'll give the new layout a fair chance.


WHAT'S NEW:
Calendar - We moved it from under "More" on the right hand side to it's own icon. Still on the right hand side, but it's now the first icon next to Starred and Contacts.

TIPS:
Disable Inbox Categories (All, Primary, etc) - You can go back to having just ONE Inbox. Go to Settings > Inbox Categories.
Keep Folders Expanded - First expand left hand column by hovering on Inbox edge until you see Double Arrows. Then a drop down will show up next to Folders.
Bulk Delete - Click on a checkbox from your Inbox and a new checkbox will appear at the top. From there you can Select All and Delete All.
Sender's Email Address - You don't have to open the message to see the sender's email address. Just hover over the sender's name from your Inbox.
Sort By Sender - This is still a sorting option, but you must disable Conversation view under your Settings. Then you will see "Sender name"
Disable AI Summaries - Go to Settings > AI features > Toggle Off

  1. new email suggested fixes

    1. please offer other color options on the new email - one it too bright and one is too dark
    2. please add the header bar above the email to select multiple emails to delete at once.
    3. please add an option to remove the box to the right of my emails and add a settings icon somewhere else.

  2. I can't find anyplace in settings to change the color. The only appearance options are light and dark.

  3. keep the folder template as it was

    keep the folder template as it was without changing. Overall, yahoo update looks useless and requires a lot of time to get use to, I have no time for that. Extremely negative.

  6. Allow me to use the older mail - this does not work for me

    Now we are unable to preview pdf attachments. Now we are required to open an email to preview the attachment adding more time. Plus it looks unprofessional, like it's for a child.

  7. Bring the 'mark unread' little dot back to the emails

    When you were in an email, you used to be able to mark that message unread. There was a little dot that would disappear after two seconds. I used that all of the time when I needed to come back to an email that I didn't have time to digest. Bring back our little dot! Please?

  8. REDUCED FUNCTIONALITY ON IOS IS ABSOLUTE TRASH

    WHY CAN'T I ACCESS MY EMAIL FOLDERS ON IOS LIKE PREVIOUSLY? WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT? ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS THAT I CAN NO LONGER ACCESS MY OWN EMAILS IN ON MY CELLPHONE BECAUSE OF YOUR STUPID CHANGES TO THE INTERFACE. WHY WOULD YOU REDUCE THE FUNCTIONALITY OF YOUR OWN PRODUCT? ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING.

  9. Mailboxes

    Can we have the ability to move the mailboxes from the lower left of the screen to the top left of the screen? No one wants to look down to the bottom of a window for any reason.

  12. both dark and light view options versions ******* eyes

    Please allow more view options that are easier on the eyes. The old yahoo email had more view options, backgrounds, etc and was MUCH easier on the eyes. This is atrocious.

  13. Make restore easy

    Very bad experience after long time I'm login to yahoo account again since 2022 but old emails was deleted ... And no way how to restore ... I want my offer letter for new joining but sad I can't find in the yahoo mail box please if have any method to get my old emails my documents my offer letter experience letter ... Please help me it's urgent

  14. Keep selected emails grayed out

    When you select multiple emails with a check mark, keep the selected ones grayed out so they look separate from the unselected ones. Also, find a way to make unread emails look bolder compared to read ones. This new design is more confusing and harder to navigate because there's not enough contrast.

  15. Allow users to turn off sender avatars (picture icons/initials) and brand logos

    I'd like a setting where I can choose to turn off the sender avatars: profile picture icons, initials and brand logos that appear next to emails in the standard Yahoo Mail web or mobile interfaces. I prefer a sleeker look. Thanks for your consideration!

  17. why no unified inbox?

    allow the option to revert back or allow the appearances and features of the old yahoo. why is there no unified inbox? we have to scroll to the bottom left and check if each mailbox has any new mail. There needs to be a unified inbox shown like the old yahoo mail.

  18. THE NEW SYSTEM IS TERRIBLE

    This new system is terrible. Now, I can no longer access my folders with emails on my iphone. This new change to the interface is absolute trash!!!! I should still be able to access my folders on my phone like I always have. This new update affecting the functionality of your email service s absolutely terrible and disgusting!

  19. Make the actual mail section larger

    The most important part of the email screen is the email. The huge screen has lots of navigation tools and unused space, but the actual mail, itself, is hard to read because the area devoted to it is so small. You can only read a few lines at a time, and you have to keep scrolling to read it. How about using some of all that empty space to make it larger so you can actually read the email comfortably.

    Moving something from spam where it shouldn't have gone to the inbox is difficult at best.
