Bring back the ability to star messages in the email list without having to open the message
The old mail had the ability to star a message that was in the email list without having to open the message. The new email requires the user to open the message to apply the star. In the morning I go through my inbox and star messages that need priority attention and now I can't do that without also opening the message.

New yahoo inbox
Terrible new inbox! I can see less mails and lots of functions missing!!! Terrible idea! Im thinking of switching my account after more than 25 years!!!

Actually delete stuff that has been deleted
I cannot tell you how many times I have deleted email addresses that I do not want but continue to appear when I begin to type an address. Why are they still there?? Why doesn't your "delete" actually delete. My idea? Fix this.

How am I supposed to block all those numerous spam emails I receive daily? Instead of changing the wotking interface into something stupid that doesn't properly work, you could have strengthened your ability/functionality in protecting my mailbox from flooding spam.

Get rid of the stupid ads that flash in your face while attempting to read emails!
All you did with new "fancy" ridiculous upgrade was compact all my emails and place a giant flashy ad on the side of the page. And as far as my "free" limited storage, You can **** straight off!!!! Who are you to tell me how many emails I can keep????????????? I have had this email account for over 20 years. I am going to have things in there from the past. I ABSOLUTELY WILL NEVERRRRRRRRRR PAY YOU FOR ADDITIONAL STORAGE. If you want to keep this **** up, I will move along and I will eviscerate you in writing.

Difficult to read my inbox
The basic/classic design layout for the inbox made it easier to read emails at a glance. It's now difficult to decipher what the subject is, the body preview, what's read and unread as they're all rather similar. Please make some accessibility options to better use the forced new inbox on customers. To be clear, no one asked for this.
How could you make a new version live without a compact view option?! WTF yahoo.

unable to copy and blind copy contacts
I am very unhappy with your new version of Yahoo Mail for several reasons & by far prefer the old version.
It seems impossible to copy in other contacts or blind copy others, which used to be easy.
If possible please could you switch me back to your original email layout, otherwise I'll need to stop using Yahoo & change to Google Mail.

remove ads option
Ads now taking up a large section of screen I do not want to see ads they are annoying & distracting. I would like a remove option

Instead of a pink dot in the inbox, the entire text should be a single color—for example, blue. When a message is clicked, the text should appear white against a black background.

sort by "starred" items
This feature was previously available but was removed. If you star items (ie important) it is nice to be able to sort first by starred items, then by time/date received.
This keeps your important items at the top.

More like old version. Better font or give font choices. Show defined month headings in email scroll
The new format actually hurts my eyes, as in, it physically strains my eyes, making it hard to look at and read.
The new format also doesn't divide the email scroll into defined months, making it harder to find older emails.
The font is hard to read because it is so stark and unpleasant.

Keep Folders file open.
Still cannot keep the Folders file open at all times in the sidebar. Now I need to do three clicks instead of one, to move a message to a folder. Very annoying--does "new" mean more umbersome? I hate to change to google mail, but I must say I really dislike the new Yahoo.

If you don't stop giving pop-ups of all the great new features and streaks in Yahoo mail, I may stop using it all together. I go there for email, not to be bombarded by useless distractions.

Get rid of the frigging white space between messages in the header list view
Get rid of all the white space when viewing the list of messages in a mailbox. Not all of us is using this service on a touch device!

Here are a few ideas....
- Allow list of emails (those I own) to move back to the top left sidebar. Currently they are difficult to see, hard to remember which one I'm in and take an added step to open them. I use all of mine in one day.. and appreciated seeing the new message count next to each box ... as it was previously in the old design,
- I don't know what it is but it's much harder to see simple things (the trash can at the top or which one is the move icon, etc) or distinguish between messages than it use to…

Allow for more customization of the inbox design
I have been using yahoo mail for 27 years -- at times paying for Yahoo Mail Plus -- and I have been happy all these 27 years till now. I do not like the functionality of the new redesign. And after a quarter of a century, I am considering a switch to Tutanota or ProtonMail as I am willing to pay for a better interface.
The primary issue with the redesign is that it is cluttered and makes it difficult to scan quickly for information. I am shocked that there are not more options for tailoring the design to one's…

Bring back the function to block unsafe/ dangerous emails immediately
Bring back the feature to block unsafe or dangerous emails instantly. Yahoo Mail is allowing scammers to harass vulnerable users with their constant messages.
