Playoffs - Odd number of teams
This playoff format would allow for an odd number of teams in the playoffs. Currently, this is not an option for playoff formats.

7-Team playoffs are now available with Yahoo Fantasy Commissioner Plus: https://help.yahoo.com/kb/started-yahoo-fantasy-commissioner-sln36403.html

My league has 12 teams divided into 2 conferences and 4 divisions. We need the ability to customize the playoff matchups. We moved to Yahoo from CBS and lost this ability which is enough to go back if it's not going to be addressed. Just give us a 'Custom' option where the commish sets all the playoff matchups. If other leagues still want to use the default settings then they can.

Definitely need tiebreaker rules. I prefer head-to-head record, record in division, and most points.

yes we need bye weeks, yes bigger brackets or smaller ones too. say 10 team league and top 3 makes it in overall standing or points. the top overall seed has bye. week 15 #2 vs #3 in semi, week 16 #1 vs winner of #2 & #3 in final. also please lock your scoring in for private cash leagues after draft. #don't get it... no bye weeks, no locked in scoring

I'd love this so our league could do like a AFC/NFC thing and meet in the championship.

This was posted in 2014. What gives Yahoo?

Not all playoff types include the consolation bracket. I have no clue why not.
My 20 team league (8-team playoff) has to manually do the consolation bracket every year. There is no reason why we don't have the option to add a consolation bracket.

This is a great idea. Also, how can there not be an option of a 10 team league with 7 making the playoffs and 1st place receiving a bye the first week? Yahoo has been stagnant for too long in their playoff settings.

Completely agree with this. I just want the option of taking away bye's in a 6 team playoff! This should be priority, yahoo!

put them in 3 divisions and play your division twice

Also allow it to change the teams seeding in the playoffs. We make our league two conferences so only 3 teams from each side make it. And after the season was over the commisioner had to change results of past games in order to make it work. ESPN allows the changes so I know it can be done.

I'd like to have the ability to have the playoffs start week 12 so in a 12 team league you play everyone just once. If 6 teams make the playoffs, I'd like to have the capability to have the first round of the playoffs be week 12, the next round a combined 13-14 total and the last round a 15-16 total.

No Problem -- Just have your league's Commish change the league's settings to include a consolation bracket.

It would be nice to see this as an OPTION. Let the league and commissioner decide on the order of their leagues tiebreakers. All leagues are different and might have different preferences.
What I don't get is why H2H is a default playoff game tiebreaker but can't be applied as a divisional tiebreaker. Doesn't seem consistent to me.

I totally agree. I do a 12 Team League and the top 7 teams make the playoffs with the number one team on a BYE. I had issues because Yahoo did not have such a setting. Playoffs needs to be managed by the Commissioner. PLEASE fix this for next year or I'm going back to CBS Sports

Super let down to see that a two-week championship option was added but was not made available for other rounds of the playoffs. What's the point? A two-week championship doesn't reveal "who's truly the best" if the best teams don't make it there!

It is not possible on Yahoo! You will have to do it on paper. And if you chose the lock eliminated teams option, they won't be able to add any players, just rearrange their current roster.
Yahoo! will produce the numbers for you, so you don't have to track individual players, you just need to look their totals up on Tuesday.

My league has a consolation playoff for those that do not make the actual playoffs (Toilet Bowl). I need a way to manually set matchups after the regular 14 game season. I have always had this at another site. it blew my mind that this is not possible and of course I didn't find out until after the 14 game season. Get it done or I wont be back. This is the exact thing fantasy websites were made to do. The fact I have to do this on paper now is crazy.

Our league (12 team, 8 make the playoffs) wants 1st place to be able to pick their opponent, then 2nd gets to pick, etc until all the matchups are lined up.
We call it Pick Em Playoffs and would love to see if as an added option!

Couldn't agree with this more. It wouldn't be hard at all to build editable playoff bracket functionality. I had to spend way too much time altering regular season results last week just to get a new team in as our #6 seed due to being the highest scoring team remaining.

The consolation bracket should also be optional.
