Dynasty/Keepers - Leave league open to allow trading, adds, and drops during the offseason.
This would allow managers to make all league transactions within the platform, including adds, drops, and trades, throughout the year.

I would recommend that, under the Commissioner Tools, the League Management, the Team Management, and the Keeper Management remains available for ongoing Dynasty and Keeper operations.

Drafts would be **** ... but that's an interesting idea. That would all but eliminate useful waivers, and trades would become essential to competing. I'd be interested to spend a year in a league like that.

Rosters should be expanded to a minimum of 48 players and a section of the team page should be created for a developmental squad.

+1 on this. Don't close our keeper league at the end of the NFL season. We run it year round and need settings/access to the site year round.

I need this league to be open all year long, off-season trading, keeper selection deadlines, etc. It is kind of a joke that it isn't and am highly considering moving my league to ESPN as their dynasty leagues are fantastic and open all the time.
Either step it up Yahoo or my league will be stepping out.

I was going to suggest this, as there are some teams in my league that are struggling to make playoffs, that are just stacked up on amazing potential keeper talent but will see no benefit from the moment week 13 is over. Offseason trading should be open, for at least from the time the league is once again opened in the end of summer to the draft.

In a private league, just ask the commish to expand the rosters.

A taxi squad roster spot to stash a young or developmental player. You can only activate each player from your taxi squad to main roster once. Ideal for dynasty and deep keeper leagues.

Anonymous,
Thank God you don't work for Yahoo! caused you'd be fired by now. People are referencing ESPN or CBS because they are far superior to Yahoo! in some aspects - it is not to show adoration for them or belittle Yahoo!, but rather to help our preferred fantasy sports destination improve in all areas of the game and keep players here.
Come on...use some common sense.

Anonymous,
I'm a Commissioner in 3 leagues and I still track Keepers via spreadsheet. However, some people have real, full-time jobs and it's difficult to micro-manage a FANTASY league 365 days a year...we are simply asking for better tools to make lives easier.

Everyone keeps referring that ESPN does this and ESPN does that, then take your league to ESPN and Voila problem solved

A true commissioner keeps track of EVERYTHING via spreadsheet. My league makes off season trades and as long as I keep track of everything via my spreadsheet I really don't see how this is the number 1 problem, there are plenty of other things that need to be fixed before Yahoo even considers making this possible. BE A REAL COMMISSIONER AND KEEP TRACK YOURSELF!

Yahoo!,
Any thoughts on this suggestion?

Agreed... Dynasty is the next evolution of Fantasy football. I prefer Yahoo! fantasy football management systems to most I've used and would like to be able to launch my dynasty league here, but at this time it's just not ready for us. A few items missing... Trade of draft picks. Ability to expand off-season rosters. Ability to trade players in the off-season. These are just the issues I've found so far.

Very strongly agree. Tracking on spreadsheets and communicating trades via email is an inconvenience for the commissioner. It is also a pain to have to wait each year for managers to set up their teams when they can just be carried over. It would be much more user friendly if these could happen year round.

i have the same issues with my dynasty league

I also run into issue with keeping track of fiances... many times people don't pay up before the site gets taking down and I can no longer access my tracker to see who owe's what. Also helpful to refer to old messages and posts when debates come up about what was agreed upon earlier in the year

Yahoo obviously doesn't care. No response. No changes. Same old garbage.
