This is a must have category in many private leagues...would replace face off lost by fw % really surprised this is not available already.

I agree. Making PIM a positive stat appears to be more hockey tradition than anything logical. Coming from a baseball and football fantasy background, this is equivalent to giving fantasy points to a D/ST for each penalty yard it accrues.

Bad idea. If this does go through I want saves for forwards and D-men when they make a save in the crease.

If you're using anything smaller than .5 you're not playing real Fantasy Football...grow a pair...

PIM's can hurt or help a team so I think if anything the option to make it negative would be best. I'm assuming the people who want fighting out of the game are the ones voting to change this? A fight can motivate your team more than anything and certain penalties are considered "good" penalties to take away scoring chances and whatnot so I think it can easily go both ways.

I agree to an extent. I like the 10 categories. Maybe, if goalies were not limited to just their four stats. Instead of having each player limited to 6 or 4 stats, have your team accumulate all 10 stats (if applicaple. Skaters don't get wins, SO, SV%, GAA). I would be upset if i came 1 assist short for the week's matchup and my goalie had one and it didn't count.

I totally agree with this. And also they should give goalies Overtime Loss Points.

this STILL says gathering feedback...LOL...just FIX IT!!! give the CHOICE of making the points fractional or keeping it the way it is!!!! what feedback needs to be gathered?!?!?!?!?!?! dont listen to the idiots that think there should be a minimum score!!!!!! if its an easier kick, THEN IT MAKES PERFECT SENSE FOR THE KICKER TO GET LESS POINTS FOR IT!!!!! there are ONLY a HANDFUL of FGs shorter than 30 yards per kicker each season anyway!!!! WAKE UP GUYS!!!!!!!!!

A game winning goal has been a stat that has been kept throughout the history of hockey. I can agree with gaining an extra point if the game winning goal was obtained in overtime, however I don't agree with your statement that the actual goal that won the game (the third goal scored in a 6-2 win) is something a player shouldn't get credit for

Why not make it available as an option? Up to any commish to decide whether they use it or not, eh?

This is a great idea. Anything past 30 should be worth it's yardage value. It's silly that a 39 yard field goal misses out on an entire point just because it fell one yard short. It's like telling a running back that he is only credited with a 10 yard rushing TD run even though he ran it from the 19 yardline. Kickers are fantasy players too.

Terrible idea. Should players get credit for saves too when they lie down in front of the net? Assists and PIM's aren't on the goalie stat page so obviously they're rare and not worth keeping track of.

Great question!!! I was also wondering why Goligoski didn't get credit for Dallas' win and shutout, because he was on my roster for the night so why would I not get any points he accumulates?
Go to scoring & settings, scroll to the bottom where it reads "Goaltenders Stat Categories." Are assists listed among the categories that count for goalies? No.
That's why it didn't count, moron.

I like it, could do Gordie Howe Hat tricks too. Enough of them happen each year that a league could decide to add a bonus for it. Already happens for shut-outs.

I disagree with the premise. Goalies can score Gs As etc, but they rarely do and there's so much variance in it. Kickers can score TDs and 2pt conversions, etc, but they don't get credit for them in fantasy football. This is no different.

No as they would be overvalued as other players can not participate in Wins, Saves, Save% and SO
