Everything is just too big, too much wasted space
Everything is enormous with tons of wasted space around panes. The right side pane where calendar/contacts show cannot be collapsed taking up even more space in the page. I have half the real estate availabe on the old version for reading my emails. So much so, I had to change the zoom of the page to 80% to get some semblance of normalcy. Oh that means I need to keep on my reading glasses at all times now. Thanks Yahoo!
When reading an email, the part of the pane that shows subject/buttons/from-to take up over 1/3 of the email pane…

Change Blocked Sender Process
Return to how it was.
Old version - Open email, select spam emails to block, press add to blocked senders tab. 3 actions.
New version - Open email, copy email address, go to settings, open security tab, paste in spam address, return to spam folder, delete item. 8 actions for each email.
Not sure how this counts as an improvement,

The new appearance of Yahoo Mail makes viewing emails inconvenient. Please restore the appearance of Classic and basic Yahoo Mail —or at the very least, provide an option to allows users to continue using the Classic and basic Yahoo Mail.

Unread emails don't stand out enough on dark mode
The text for new emails needs to be a brighter/more contrasting white so that new emails stand out more prominently compared to read emails in dark mode.

please, give us the option of clasic Yahoo mail
Once upon a time, Yahoo Mail was the most popular email service, but now it’s among the least. It’s insane to push users away by removing their option to use the classic interface with features like different themes, layouts, and more. Please don’t make me switch to using my other accounts with Google or Hotmail as my primary email. Thank you.

sono passato alla versione a pagamento per eliminare la pubblicità e sperando di poter eliminare quella (per me) insopportabile colonna di destra che rimpicciolisce l'aerea della mail (colonna centrale), ma non è possibile!! perchè non inglobate tutto nella colonna di sinistra lasciando la possibilità di avere la colonna centrale delle mail bella larga? questa nuova versione non mi piace molto, è meno semplice e chiara, era meglio la vecchia mail per me!

The new version sucks, and forcing it is worse. You can allow the option of having classic Yahoo mail back. You've lost so many people to Gmail, why on earth would you drive the rest of us away? The colors give me a headache, those colored round buttons in front of each sender make it impossible to scan rapidly down the sender list they are so visually distracting. My main complaint is how the entire mailbox is white. Cosmetically, it is not appealing, and the black is too dark. This is why I preferred the basic mail. The top upper and left border should have an option of having a color. Especially with age, it its not easy on the eye...
I also do not understand why I need to see the sender’s abbreviations. They make the mailbox look too crowded. The sender name and subject is sufficient.

Colour change for working email screen.
I had choices of screen and email colour before the change that suited my eye issues really well - very pale blue.
I cannot do this now, and the bright white screen is starting to hurt my eyes. I have an eye issue that is inoperable, glare, bright colours, and all white colourse make it impossible for me to function electronically.
People with dyslexia and other eye issues, are assisted greatly with pale blue as a background colour on an actual laptop, monitor etc.

I don't care that you want it to look better, it looked fine, it's a ******* email not a social media. I want to see my emails and that's it. The new update is bad and it doesn't separate my emails the way it used to. People STILL using yahoo are people who have been using it for a long time, I doubt many new young people are making yahoo emails. You guys are soooo ******* smart.... You know there were only two reasons I sticked with you while so many other mail services exist? First, 1 TB of space, second, the look and functionality.
The biggest contender is of course Gmail. With it's meager 15GB compared to 1TB it's not even close. I am a paying customer and I want to use the basic mail version
Btw, the paid version brought me sex ads that I've never had for the past 30 years that I've been using Yahoo mail (since 1996, and not since 1999, like your gaslighting suggests).
I want to be able to use the basic email version - I don't want "smart" features, I don't want AI, I don't want your "targeted ads", I just want to be able to send and receive emails - STOP RUINING EVERYTHING THAT WORKS!!!!

Colors
Can you please make the colors for read and unread emails more distinguishable. I am ADHD and I have been loyal to yahoo mail because you could easily SEE what is read and unread email. Maybe make the unread email more gray so its easier tos see which you emails are unread. I use the colors as a system to navigate my work. This new interface is confusing in that sense

submit a complaint with human agent
The "Turn on out-of-office response" feature is not working; even when enabled, the system fails to send an automated response to the sender upon receipt of a new email.
