Unfortunately, you cannot revert back. We are only making the new one better. We know change is frustrating and hard but we really hope you'll give the new layout a fair chance.


WHAT'S NEW:
Calendar - We moved it from under "More" on the right hand side to it's own icon. Still on the right hand side, but it's now the first icon next to Starred and Contacts.

TIPS:
Disable Inbox Categories (All, Primary, etc) - You can go back to having just ONE Inbox. Go to Settings > Inbox Categories.
Keep Folders Expanded - First expand left hand column by hovering on Inbox edge until you see Double Arrows. Then a drop down will show up next to Folders.
Bulk Delete - Click on a checkbox from your Inbox and a new checkbox will appear at the top. From there you can Select All and Delete All.
Sender's Email Address - You don't have to open the message to see the sender's email address. Just hover over the sender's name from your Inbox.
Sort By Sender - This is still a sorting option, but you must disable Conversation view under your Settings. Then you will see "Sender name"
Disable AI Summaries - Go to Settings > AI features > Toggle Off

  2. Quit it with the pop-ups

    Quit it with all the pop-ups every time I open Yahoo Mail - not ads, all the "do you want to try this feature?" when I've already turned the feature off, or said no to the same exact pop-up previously. It's annoying.

  3. ads that are scams

    I accidentally clicked on the ad that was the 1st to appear in my inbox, it was a scam.
    this should not be happening, and it came with this new upgrade to the yahoo email

  5. Less space for email body visualization

    The new yahoo mail has less space to view the body of the email, there's a lot of space in the top that shows the sender and the date and in the bottom for the reply/forward buttons. The priority of the space should be for viewing the body of the email, how it was in the classic version.

  7. thick boxes/different background lighting

    I have absolutely terrible eyesight that not even surgery can correct. The new blindingly white background is absolutely horrible - I get a headache from two minutes of it. The ONLY black background is bad, too, The "white script" is terribly painful. The old layout, where the emails were defined by a clear wide margin of a DIFFERENT background helped me keep my eyes focused on either the list of emails, or the email itself. As it is, my eyes are jumping back and forth, and I have not been able to sort through anything. I have to enlarge things…

  8. Where is the filter to filter according to read/unread

    Where is the filter to filter according to read/unread - this is a necessity as emails go into the deleted box and that is the way one can find them.

  9. new messges partially blocked by unsubscribe

    Stop blocking the new emails subject with the "unsubscribe" messge that pops up, as it covers the rest of the subject line

  10. show all inboxes at the top left,make window to view actual email larger-too small. The ads shouldn't take up more room than the email

  11. My background color

    I have visual issues and require a certain color background on my email so I can read them better. Your change has taken that option away from me. I am not a happy Yahoo email user anymore. AND you've already indicated we CAN'T change back! Another idiotic decision.

  12. Readability Decline

    We need some kind of background other than blinding white or too dark. CHOOSE your picture or solid color ALWAYS worked and you took it away. I despise the "new look" stop changing things randomly. did you really get enough complaints about the backgrounds as they WERE to warrant changing it to far less choices? for extra personalization you could allow choose your text color,font,size, and adjust contrast your mailbox page.

  13. Unread and Read Mails View

    Dark Mode - Extremely difficult to differentiate between "New Unread Mails" and "Old Read Mails". Just the Bold Font for New Unread Mails is not an enough differentiator. Also, in Settings screen, there is no "Back" button to go back to mailbox view

    Nie podoba mi się nowy interface. Przywróćcie wcześniejszy, do którego jestem przyzwyczajony. Unowocześnianie na siłę jest do dupy. Wierzę w karmę.

  16. NO TRASH DELETION AFTER 7 DAYS

    I WAS NOT NOTIFIED THAT MY TRASH WOULD AUTO DELETE AFTER 7 DAYS. THAT HAS NEVER BEEN A THING SINCE I FIRST SIGNED UP. NOW I'M LOOKING FOR SOMETHING I DELETED ON THE 10TH AND AM UNABLE TO FIND IT. THIS IS EXTREMELY FRUSTRATING.

  17. Allow the user to have the option to select which interface they want to use

    I have dyslexia and cannot use the new interface Yahoo Mail has impelemneted. I have been using Yahoo Mail for at least 20 years now and I can't use the new interface because of my dislyexia. Yahoo should allow its customers/users the option to use whichever interface they want. Please let me use the old version

  19. Restore prior capability within "Advanced search filters"

    Per https://help.yahoo.com/kb/new-yahoo-mail/overview-yahoo-mail-sln36709.html and my own testing, your New Email Advanced search filter no longer includes a "key word" search box, only To/From/Subject. Please restore the ability to find an email based solely on key word(s) within the body of the message. Omitting such a search method severely limits the ability to find Who-sent-that email content.

  20. Allow me to block sender's emails so I don't keep getting these **** scam emails
