Unfortunately, you cannot revert back. We are only making the new one better. We know change is frustrating and hard but we really hope you'll give the new layout a fair chance.


WHAT'S NEW:
Calendar - We moved it from under "More" on the right hand side to it's own icon. Still on the right hand side, but it's now the first icon next to Starred and Contacts.

TIPS:
Disable Inbox Categories (All, Primary, etc) - You can go back to having just ONE Inbox. Go to Settings > Inbox Categories.
Keep Folders Expanded - First expand left hand column by hovering on Inbox edge until you see Double Arrows. Then a drop down will show up next to Folders.
Bulk Delete - Click on a checkbox from your Inbox and a new checkbox will appear at the top. From there you can Select All and Delete All.
Sender's Email Address - You don't have to open the message to see the sender's email address. Just hover over the sender's name from your Inbox.
Sort By Sender - This is still a sorting option, but you must disable Conversation view under your Settings. Then you will see "Sender name"
Disable AI Summaries - Go to Settings > AI features > Toggle Off

  1. GIVE PEOPLE AN OPTION!

    THIS IS HORRENDOUS! I have THREE inboxes.. now i can no longer see them all listed on the left and can no longer see EACH unread messages!!! I DO NOT want to have to do multiple steps just to see them! Why do you FORCE us to choose between a blindingly white or dark background? THANK you Yahoo - the push I needed to switch ALL my email to Google.

  2. Background Color

    UGH-so bland. When I open Yahoo email I think I'm in Google. You used to be better than them. Wish I could find how to set a color so my old brain knows I'm in the right place. Also hate the soft edges. Brain can't focus, moves all over. Folder list width is too small. I suppose I have to upgrade to get more room. I'll learn to cope as your upgrade does not have many benefits.

  3. You should be able to delete an individual email without having to check the box

  4. NO OPTIONS ANYMORE!!

    YOU serve your customers and users! That is YOUR JOB!! YOu can't take away options we used to have and simply say, "You have NO choice anymore! This is the way it is now, so get used to it!" Whatever happened to OPTIONS??!! How about going to a restaurant and being FORCED to order something YOU DON'T LIKE? THAT is what you're doing!!

  6. Pane size

    Make all panes to include file, email list and ad panes sizable. Color scheme is not easy to read. Also, need more options to modify the screen views, to include size, colors, etc. Also, improve the sort features to include file size, etc.

  7. Stop making changes on my email

    It is beyond frustrating when you use your email all day every day, you should give people the option to not want to upgrade. Thia is my email account, and I should be able to have it set up the way I want.

  8. Bring back the ability to star messages in the email list without having to open the message

    The old mail had the ability to star a message that was in the email list without having to open the message. The new email requires the user to open the message to apply the star. In the morning I go through my inbox and star messages that need priority attention and now I can't do that without also opening the message.

    Terrible new inbox! I can see less mails and lots of functions missing!!! Terrible idea! Im thinking of switching my account after more than 25 years!!!

    Si posso avere altri temi o anche altri sfondi colorati anche omogeni.
    Comunque mi trovavo meglio prima, perché insistete con questa nuova versione?

  11. Actually delete stuff that has been deleted

    I cannot tell you how many times I have deleted email addresses that I do not want but continue to appear when I begin to type an address. Why are they still there?? Why doesn't your "delete" actually delete. My idea? Fix this.

  12. color mode selections, ability to lockout senders

    I do not like the color schemes (just light or dark), I cannot ban scams from sending messages I can only delete

    How am I supposed to block all those numerous spam emails I receive daily? Instead of changing the wotking interface into something stupid that doesn't properly work, you could have strengthened your ability/functionality in protecting my mailbox from flooding spam.

  14. Get rid of the stupid ads that flash in your face while attempting to read emails!

    All you did with new "fancy" ridiculous upgrade was compact all my emails and place a giant flashy ad on the side of the page. And as far as my "free" limited storage, You can **** straight off!!!! Who are you to tell me how many emails I can keep????????????? I have had this email account for over 20 years. I am going to have things in there from the past. I ABSOLUTELY WILL NEVERRRRRRRRRR PAY YOU FOR ADDITIONAL STORAGE. If you want to keep this **** up, I will move along and I will eviscerate you in writing.

  15. Difficult to read my inbox

    The basic/classic design layout for the inbox made it easier to read emails at a glance. It's now difficult to decipher what the subject is, the body preview, what's read and unread as they're all rather similar. Please make some accessibility options to better use the forced new inbox on customers. To be clear, no one asked for this.

    How could you make a new version live without a compact view option?! WTF yahoo.

  16. unable to copy and blind copy contacts

    I am very unhappy with your new version of Yahoo Mail for several reasons & by far prefer the old version.
    It seems impossible to copy in other contacts or blind copy others, which used to be easy.
    If possible please could you switch me back to your original email layout, otherwise I'll need to stop using Yahoo & change to Google Mail.

    Ads now taking up a large section of screen I do not want to see ads they are annoying & distracting. I would like a remove option

    Instead of a pink dot in the inbox, the entire text should be a single color—for example, blue. When a message is clicked, the text should appear white against a black background.

  19. sort by "starred" items

    This feature was previously available but was removed. If you star items (ie important) it is nice to be able to sort first by starred items, then by time/date received.

    This keeps your important items at the top.
