Improve Message Layout (Right View) – Allow Hiding Right Sidebar
Hello,
I’d like to share some feedback regarding the “Message layout: Right” view in Yahoo Mail.
At the moment, the email preview pane feels too narrow, which makes reading emails less comfortable—especially for longer or formatted messages. The main reason seems to be the fixed right-side panel (the one showing “Starred,” “Contacts,” “More,” etc.), which takes up a significant portion of the screen.
It would be very helpful if users had the option to hide, collapse, or fully remove this right-side panel. This would allow the email preview area to expand and make better use of the available screen space.

Default my main mailbox to showing All emails
Why does my main mailbox default to hiding a lot of my emails?
This is useless. Every time I open my mail, I need to change it back so I can see whatever Yahoo has decided I might not want.
At least remember my previous selection or make it a toggleable option somewhere.146th ranked -

allowing select all for offers, social and newsletter
you have these very helpful filered views across the top, next to all view and primary view - offers, social, newsletter. If I click on one of these it does not give me the select all box at the very top. I would love that!!!

leave my important saved information in the folders I have them saved in
leave my important documents in the folders I have them saved in. These were not inactive and some of them were just received during this semester. I have no idea how I'm going to obtain these documents again. I've had this account for over 20 years and have never had problems until now. Who decided my documents were trash? How can anyone trust not to be hacked when the company done it themselves? I need my documents back so I can save them on my own system.

get rid of the primary category. Such a pain **********
Give an option to get rid of the primary. If there already is an option you're doing a great job of keeping it secret. Have you tried it yourself? Half the message I actually want to see don't show because it defaults to primary, whatever primary is supposed to be

Draft Versions
On multiple occasions somehow my long Draft message has been over-written, or otherwise somehow the text (not a message deletion but only the text) has be erased. There should a way to retrieve erased text, perhaps timed multiple revisions of Draft text. Could you please address this? I have had large blocks of text just erased, and I have been forced to re-write the message from the very beginning. This has happened to me multiple times over the years, and it is maddening.

Could you increase the number of lines?
The new uncluttered layout looks good. But there is a lot of blank space in the inbox email list. Could you increase the number of lines displayed by reducing the blank space between the items? Also remove the ads at the bottom, takes a lot of space and nobody looks at them anyway ;-)

New Yahoo Mail displays incorrect sender name; Classic Mail displays correct name
I am using a long‑standing Yahoo Mail account. When I send email using Classic Yahoo Mail, the sender name is correct. When I switch to New Yahoo Mail, the sender name appears incorrect only within my own Yahoo Mail interface.
The incorrect sender name does not appear to recipients. People who receive emails I send from New Yahoo Mail see the correct sender name; the issue is visible only to me when viewing sent messages or message headers within my own Yahoo account.
This issue is fully reproducible and specific to the New Yahoo Mail interface. Switching back to Classic…

Too much space squandered on a laptop screen
On a big desktop display, the look is OK.
But on my smaller laptop screen, too much space ist wasted between the panes left and right and the search bar above.
Also I have to minimize the rioght pane every time I open Yahoo mail. I want my settings remembered!61st ranked -
It's too cramped
The window where I can see the actual email is so small. I often have to scroll horizontally. Why can't I get rid of the box/panel on the right side? Is there an option to view the email without the sidebar/list of emails still present? Is it one bad UI or just bad UX where the option to change the view is impossible to find?

MAKE A NEW ADDRESS THE DEFAULT ADDRESS
I HAD AN OLD ADDRESS WHICH WAS DISCONTINUED BY YAHOO BECAUSE I WAS USING MY DEAD HUSBAND'S COMPUTER, WHICH YAHOO DISCOVERED 2 YEARS AFTER HE DIED. SO I CREATED A NEW ADDRESS. HOWEVER, THE OLD ADDRESS STILL COMES UP AS MY DEFAULT ADDRESS EVERY TIME I AM ASKED FOR MY YAHOO ADDRESS.
IMPROVE BY ALWAYS MAKING THE LATEST ADDRESS THE DEFAULT ADDRESS FOR EVERYTHING.
E.G. MY OLD ADDRESS WAS annettecwilliams@y7mail.com. MY NEW ADDRESS IS annettecwilliams@myyahoo.com.61st ranked -
