Schedule/Scoring Formats - 'Doubleheaders vs league score median'.
Each week, the median fantasy points of all teams in the league is calculated by taking the middle number in a sorted list of scores of each team. Each team would get a win if they beat the league median and a loss if they lose to it.

This feature is now available with Yahoo Fantasy Commissioner Plus.

Begging you Yahoo, let's spice it up and allow for a double header, this has been on the discussion board for some time now and really don't understand why it hasn't been integrated into the system.
Double headers could be an option surrounding the bye weeks. Think about it - you could go 2-0 in one week or have the league leader go 0-2 for a playoff push/bust!
Would like to know reasons for this not happening - please email follow up. Maybe 2017 season is too late to get this rolling, maybe not!
thanks for following up.

Quite insane that YAHOO doesn't have more customized features regarding the schedule!! Whether its ALL PLAY or Double Header you should have to ability to customize as the league pleases.
I love having divisions but yahoo doesn't even have schedule options where you play your division and all other players once. Having a Double header function would definitely allow this to happen. GET OFF YOUR A**** YAHOO. It shouldn't be hard for you!

Absolutely agree, could this be implemented this season?

I would like to set up a league where 1 "win" is awarded for head to head play and 1 "win" is awarded to the top half of point scorers for the week. In other words, you could lose your head to head matchup, but still get "win" for being in the top half of scorers for the week. This would allow a win/loss record to be inclusive of head to head wins, as well as scoring consistency for the season. To balance things out, you would need to award a "loss" to a team not scoring in the top half in pints for the week, thus you could go 2-0, 1-1 or 0-2 for the week. A truer picture will be shown at the end of the regular season and would allow the best teams to make the playoffs.

It's insane that another year has gone by, and none of the substantive changes asked for by the community have been added. Some of the top-10 have been asked for years ago. It's great to see Yahoo adding such important features as "BRING BACK SMACK TALK", and "LET ME HAVE A PICTURE BY MY NAME".
@JamesK,
After you've played in a private league for more than a few years you'll understand.
Both of the options you suggested are used heavily in public games, no real league uses either of them. Head-to-head is the preferred type of game of the two offered by Yahoo and most other sites. Allowing multiple games per week enables larger leagues (my 20 team league, for instance) to have a more realistic (closer to NFL 17 game) season, and thus a more accurate playoff bracket.
Your comments about what is "fair" are probably accurate, but what's "fair" isn't always FUN. Lets make things fun.

I agree with this, and it should be easy enough for Yahoo to implement. The more people you play per week takes away from some of the luck factor of fantasy football.

I agree with JamesK. Let's have every team play every team every week.

Why bother with such a complicated system when better systems of scoring are available?
Yahoo can more easily add "All-Play" rankings under which each team plays every other team each week. That is Fair.
Your league can already use "Total Points" scoring under which the team which scores the most total points during the season wins the league. That is Fair.
Both of these systems are better than what is being suggested here. -

This idea would improve Fantasy Football. However, I'd prefer to see it improved more than just this one step. Let's go all the way and have each team play every other team each week.

Listen up Yahoo. this request is really important. For private leagues at least

Please explain what you mean by "All-Play."

I agree that this idea would be an improvement.
However, I'd really prefer to see Yahoo offer the option of every team playing every team each week.
It's the fair way to run a league, and it would require less change in Yahoo's computer code because Yahoo already reports in its game recap "if you played every team this week, ..." and if you played every team every week, ..." -

In addition to one's head to head matchup, there should be a win or loss based on your points for the week. If a team scores in the top half of the league, they should get a win (bottom half- loss). Therefore every week a team would have two results (2-0, 1-1, or 0-2). It seems like every week I hear someone complain that he or she had the 2nd highest score in a league but lost because they played against the highest scorer. This system would take the luck out of the regular season, and more accurately determine the playoff teams.

All-Play scoring, All-Play + Head to Head, Victory Scoring...these formats have been around for years. Yahoo needs to adopt some of these scoring options. I hate to move my league, which has been with Yahoo from the beginning, but they're falling way behind.
Good article(2 years old BTW)

As with most of the comments, I switched to a paid league site because Yahoo didn't offer dual matchups each week. I WOULD LOVE TO SWITCH TO YAHOO IF ONLY YOU HAD THIS FEATURE!
