A certain competing fantasy sports company has this stat that will add a set value of fantasy points to a goal or assist a defenseman registers. This helps my league add value to defense and avoid stacking on forwards.
Please I want to switch my league to Yahoo. Our keeper league is too dedicated to having that category to be able to switch without it.

i like that idea if a player can get a point for a catch. than he should loose points for a drop.

The player who muffs the kick is charged with a fumble in the Yahoo! game, but not the D/ST.

Defense/Special teams should lose points for lost/muffed kick and punt returns. If the kicking team can gain points for recovering a muffed kickoff/punt, the receiving team should be penalized for losing said muffed kick/punt.

This is a must please add FACEOFF % is a very important stat that I fully support.

Please, please, please, add Faceoff % as a stat!! We don't want to have to use 2 separate stats to count it (FOW & FOL), because that essentially makes it twice as valuable as it would be if it's combined into one stat (and twice as important as any stat that is only covered by one category). We have been waiting for years and years for this improvement, and we're still waiting!! Faceoff % is a very important stat! Other fantasy hosts (ESPN for example) offer it! It's just not important enough to take up two categories.... PLEASE fix it! (we love Yahoo fantasy, except for this glaring oversight)

There should be an option in the beginning of a fantasy league scoring settings to allow goalies who lost a game in overtime or shootout to have a point.

Players should lose a point or fractional point when they commit a penalty that is accepted. Penalties effect the real game, they should also effect the fantasy game.

I agree. Goalies collect assists all the time and the very rare goal. There should be a category for this.
Thanks!

some categories should be worth more! The reward for a penalty should not be the same as a goal... or at least that should be a choice that is available

Have the choice to determine that a stat category is worth 1 or 2 points. Could add significance to goals and assists for example, and stil track other stats for points. So in a league that uses 8 stats, if 2 are weighted to 2 points, then the point total would be 10 per week.

Leave it the same. There are other "negative" categories to choose from like +/-, etc... No change

The problem here is that there's nothing in the box score indicating either the player benefiting from the DPI call or the player guilty of the OPI call; thereby making this an individual stat impossible to track.

I like having the option available and like everything else, it should be at the commish's discretion of how the system operates. Since the penalty for offensive P.I. is 10 yards, as commish I'd probably set it at (1) ppdpi (pt per def P.I.) and (-1) ppopi (pt per off P.I.) since 10 yds is 1 pt in most scoring systems. Something is better than nothing.

i have also thought we should award points for the Def getting a victory ,it is their ultimate goal

So for offensive pass interference, we take yardage and points away?

If a RB/WR/TE draw a Defensive Pass interference penalty, award the intended receiver 1 point, and the QB .5

I’ve been wanting this for years for FG made distance, FG missed distance, DEF Pts allowed and DEF Yds allowed. It is no different than rushing, passing, or receiving yds calculation. Please correct this oversight.
