Mail Settings not sticky
The new settings are not sticky. They are wiped out every time you leave. Very annoying.

auto archive? who decided that???? i to never have used the archive except one time by accident. it took 30 minutes to find the email...you are all idiots for these changes. i just am at a loss for another word to describe it!

i did not get this far before going back to basic, but because they are trying to mimic gmail, they put in stars. if you star something, it goes back to the top of the email list! I get a ton of emails in a day and I scroll down to make what I THINK is priority. but then yahoo sends you back to the top so you have to screen again. stupid! Also, along these lines used to be to deleted multiple messages you click one, then shift, click the last one. and easily delete multiple at a time. nope, now you have to select each one.

What's with the priority setting? It's not my priority, it's yours. It causes me to miss a high percentage of my email. I don't need or want this setting. Anytime I leave and come back it's back to priority.

The 'Notifications' setting automatically turns ON whenever logging into Yahoo. This setting should remain however the user sets it.

Me too, I just saw this post after posting my own. It started happening to me the last couple days.
It hurts my eyes to go to default, that's why I changed it. It is critical that it get fixed. I have checked multiple troubleshooting options, none of them help. If I change the theme it doesn't hold, changes back any time I navigate to the page.

Stop changing the ******** theme back to a bright white background every time I log back in after changing it to a dark theme. I am sight impaired so this is annoying as **** and makes it hard to see properly. If this doesn't change then I'll have to change to somewhere else that is usable.

Appearance settings are not saving after I close the tab. I set it to dark mode and choose the colors how I want it. Close the tab; and re-open. It is back to the bright default views. Why?

Better yet: how about if we can choose to delete the archive folder altogether. I've never once used it 25 years. (Maybe someone can tell me what it's useful for!)

The new format is auto archiving my messages & I have no setting(‘more settings’?) to change this. Allow opt out of archiving or provide a way to manage the filters. Otherwise I’ll need to change mail providers. I get that you want to force people to pay. Not happening.
