1. Take it back to the old version

   I'm sorry, but the new email format is not user-friendly. Its layout is congested, and selecting the option to delete certain emails is not a smooth selection. Items that used to be easy to locate now require a concentrated search. Sometimes change is good, but in this case...No. It's such a pain that I am seriously considering using my Gmail account for my main email. Very frustrating!

2. contact UI is just awful

   Finding and Editing the contacts is just horrid, on desktop AND on Android.
   Desktop - The contact icon is miniscule, then trying to edit the contact - it's just not user friendly at all. It would be more useful to put the tab on the left side with the rest of the options or somewhere more prominent. Also, there's no option to select more than one contact for deletion. I have to manually check each contact to delete it.
   Android - this UI is unusable. Trying to edit a contact is impossible. Just trying to type over to edit - the screen doesn't move, there's no scroll so the keyboard covers up the field and so I am typing blindly...and where is the save option on that screen?? It was so frustrating trying to edit on my phone that I gave up only to find frustration to a lesser degree on the desktop.

4. Your AI Chat said leaving feedback might help get my email back to basic because I have an old laptop 2009 and it doesn’t support this new

   Yahoo switched my email to the new version 1 week ago. I can’t see the message due to not room on my laptop and I can’t make the screen font small enough to get the whole line. Please let me switch back to basic mail. I am having such a hard time with this version of mail. I have so many things linked to this email address which I have had for a long time and I don’t know if I can change to another email. That would be so much work to someone like me to do. Please help. I keep trying to use it but my computer is old, 2009, and it doesn’t support this new version. It keeps freezing and I keep clearing cache, closing and reopening my email and restarting my computer. It doesn’t matter what I do or which browser I use, it doesn’t work like it was with basic mail. I don’t have the option under setting to switch back. I am old and cannot purchase another computer, I just need yahoo to give me the option to switch back to basic mail in my settings. I really need my email which I would access everyday, many times a day for doctors, hospitals and all my business. Please, I really need to switch back to basic mail due to old and slow laptop, freezing and my connection isn’t great with what I have. Please, add to my settings, I knew my computer would support this new version and I don’t know what else to do. Chat said maybe this would be an option sending feedback to get the basic version added back to my account. I have had this email for years and I am old and really would like it back so I can use it. Since clearing cache, restarting my computer doesn’t work. Today, I couldn’t even check the boxes to delete emails. I just get the ‘little hand’ that doesn’t do anything. I had a friend come over with her laptop and she didn’t have a problem on my wifi and accessing my email, however, I can’t have her come over all the time and I can’t buy a new laptop due to old and on a fixed income. I try to get her here so I can access some emails, but please help me by giving me the access to switch back to basic mail. Please, please add this to switch in my settings to get back to basic mail. 5. Search in Specific Folders and Keyword

   The new advanced search is missing the ability to refine the search by searching only in specific folders (especially limiting it to by just in the inbox, as I do not want to find those emails I've already filed) and by using keyword - unless I type the keyword first, then it seems to use that? But I can't edit that once I've opened the advanced search.

   I use those extensively - especially as I've been trying to clean up my inbox.

6. Please return me to my old Yahoo Mail setup

   I absolutely HATE this new Yahoo Mail setup! I don't like that ONLY priority emails show up instead of ALL of my emails! I don't like the color of the setup. The whole arrangement is NOT better or enjoyable! PLEASE, I'm begging you, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE return me to my old Yahoo Mail setup or give me the option to do so! PLEASE!

7. Make "All" the default inbox function

   I missed an important email which could have cost a lot of money. Fortunately I saw it on my phone but it was not showing up on my PC's inbox. I realised that my inbox had "primary" selected as default and this email along with many others were not showing in the inbox. Once I realised what the problem was I changed the default to "all" and my issue was resolved. However I had not set it to primary in the first place and so it must have been set when Yahoo upgraded. You really should change this so that the default option is "All" unless the user decides to select "primary".

8. Add a one-click option to mark messages read/unread within the message list

   This is probably the old Yahoo mail feature I miss most.
   My settings keep all messages marked as unread until I manually mark them read.
   In the old Yahoo mail I could toggle the read status with a single left click within the message list, without opening the message.
   In the new Yahoo mail you must right-click and then select read/unread.

   Please consider restoring the one-click functionality we used to enjoy.
   In the message list:
   A left click on the unread dot should change status to read, and change the solid dot to a hollow dot, instead of making the dot disappear.
   A left click on the hollow dot should change status to unread, and change the dot back to solid.

   Simple!

   Group the emails into batches of 25 per page, just like in the old email version and you can keep the current layout if you insist. Navigating emails in this format is very difficult. You drag the scrollbar down, but the next emails don't load; then, after a while, it loads everything you triggered and jumps too far ahead, skipping emails, so you have to go back to see where you left off. There is no continuity. It has been like this for years, ever since you started trying to force users onto the new email format. No one uses this format—not Google, not ProtonMail, no one. They all group emails into sets of 25 or 50 per page, and that makes everything run smoothly. "We really hope you'll try the new experience!" - I will close my account. I really really really don't want to (i have this email since 2006), but it cannot be used anymore.

10. Stop the delete icon from shifting location.

    The icons at the top of the reading pane do not maintain a consistent position. For instance, when viewing a received email that has multiple recipients, the icons from left to right are:
    Reply, Reply all, Forward, Mark read/unread, Star, Move, Delete, Mark as spam, More.
    The order is the same when viewing a message with a single recipient, except Reply all is missing.
    I guess that makes sense but a problem arises when deleting multiple emails:

    I want to delete an email with multiple recipients, so I hover over the delete icon and click.
    The next email pops up. I want to delete it too and so click again, without moving the mouse.
    But the next email has only one recipient so where the delete icon had been, is now the Mark as spam icon. So the message gets marked as spam when it isn't.

    This has happened to me more than a few times and I'm sure it's happening to other users as well. When you hover over the delete icon, you expect it to stay where it is and not to have to chase it around the screen!

    Please consider fixing this behaviour. Including the Reply all icon for all emails would do the job.

13. can we have an "Instant Block Option", Shown, on all "Inbox Notifications "? that we instantly do not wish to Receive ?

    I believe this would be a Quicker Way to get Rid of Pernicious & Regular Unwanted Senders that are Recognised by Me as a Recipient !! Rather than just to delete or show as Spam !! but that Keep Recuring !!

17. Remove passkey creation option at login

    Remove passkey creation option at login through settings, it's requring too many steps to log-in and passkey option is incredibly slow to be useful. Also, new Yahoo Mail is cluttered and not practically usable forcing users to use third party email clients instead of the web version and mobile version. This is example of tone deaf implemenation of changes.

20. Why do we have to change

    Look I am not sure why we are forced to change to this email but it sucks. There is a reason many of us stayed with classic mail. Now my mail is automatically sorted into priority as if you know..... All etc. You are causing me to miss many emails like this. You have probably just pushed me to completely swap to gmail.
